Ringo Starr and the All-Starr Band to hit the road this spring for North American tour

Ringo Starr has announced new tour dates, as well as the All-Starr Band line-up, for the forthcoming North American tour taking place this May/June.   The All-Starr band line-up will include Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette, Hamish Stuart, and the return of Edgar Winter.

Starr will launch the tour in Ontario with two shows at Casino Rama on May 27 and 28; the tour continues through New England with shows in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, as well as stops in New York City (for three consecutive nights in June at the Beacon Theater), New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland before heading south with shows in Atlanta and Florida.

Said Ringo: “I can’t wait to get back out on the road and play. This is the longest I’ve been off the road in years – up until 2020 I was touring every year with the All Starrs – and I’ve really missed it. Making music in the studio has been great, and it certainly saved me during the pandemic, but nothing beats playing live with great musicians in front of an audience. I love my fans and they love me and it’s going to be wonderful to be peace and loving and playing for them again.”

Tickets are on sale now; head to RingoStarr.com for more information.

The Who announce 2022 North American Tour

The Who will kick-off a North American tour this April, returning to the U.S. and Canada for The Who Hits Back! tour.   Some shows were originally meant to take place in 2019; however, frontman Roger Daltrey needed to undergo a throat operation at the time, forcing the postponement.

The new tour will take place between April/May, and October/November, and will see the legendary rockers joined by local orchestras at each stop. Pete Townshend spoke to Rolling Stone about the tour, saying: “Roger is of the opinion that he wants to sing until he drops. That’s not my philosophy of life. There are other things that I want to do, still want to do, and will do, I hope. I hope I’ll live long enough to do them. But it’s not a farewell tour. Apart from anything else, we still have people who have tickets for the UK 2019 tour. We’re very, very keen to do that tour and we’ll be doing that tour in 2023, I think. But I’m talking about stuff I don’t really know about. I don’t have any guarantees, like everybody else. I don’t really know for sure what’s going to happen next month.”

Tickets go on sale on Friday, February 11 at 10am local time – here.
