Take a look at the video for Bon Jovi’s ‘Christmas isn’t Christmas’

Bon Jovi have released the official video for their new original holiday song “Christmas Isn’t Christmas.”

Frontman Jon Bon Jovi says of the song: “‘Christmas Isn’t Christmas’ is a song that I wrote about family. The sentiment that Christmas really isn’t Christmas without YOU which can bring up a lot of memories for people. I also liked to turn it around and know that because of you Christmas IS Christmas.”

Bon Jovi also recently released a video to Spotify listeners, teasing surprises are in store for the new year: “In 2024, it’s Bon Jovi’s 40th anniversary. We’re gonna have a new (bleep). We’ve archived everything we’ve ever owned — (bleep). There’s many, many songs that have never been released before. In fact, many I’ve forgotten about. There’s (bleep) that you’ll be able to see in the first quarter of the year, and lots of other big, big surprises to celebrate Bon Jovi’s 40th.”

Maroon 5 returning for 2024 Las Vegas residency at Park MGM

Maroon 5 are returning are returning to Las Vegas in 2024 for 16 performances of their residency, M5LV The Residency, taking place at Dolby Live, Park MGM’s 5,200-seat entertainment venue.

Maroon 5’s M5LV The Residency, produced by Baz Halpin and directed by Parker Genoway, sees the band performing their top hits including “Sugar,” “Girls Like You” and “Moves Like Jagger.” Presented in partnership by Live Nation and MGM Resorts International, dates include May 17, 18, 22, 25, 26, 29, 31; June 1; September 27, 28; and October 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12.

Tickets for the 2024 residency dates are on sale now via Ticketmaster.

‘CMT Crossroads: Bret Michaels & Chris Janson’ to debut Dec. 20th

Bret Michaels of the rock band Poison and country star Chris Janson will headline the latest installment of CMT Crossroads, marking the first on-stage collaboration between Michaels and Janson.

Michaels and Janson perform each other’s biggest hits, including Poison’s “Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” “Talk Dirty To Me” and “Your Mama Don’t Dance” as well as Janson’s “Fix a Drink,” “Good Vibes” and “Buy Me A Boat.”

Said Michaels: “CMT Crossroads with my friend Chris Janson was a bucket list and nothing but a good time. We brought nothing but hits and an absolute game-changer of fun, big energy and what may be the biggest, rowdiest & most good-time lovin’ fans. This will be a music history-making event, so tune in Dec. 20 and get ready for your chance to see Chris and I on my ‘Parti-Gras Mardi Gras 2024 Tour.’”  Added Janson: “This Crossroads is pure rock and roll. Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ sets record with over $1 billion in sales

Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ has set a new world record with over $1 billion in gross ticket sales.  The tour has earned an estimated $1.04 billion in 2023, with 4.35 million tickets sold to 60 shows – becoming the first in history to reach the billion-dollar milestone.

Additionally, Eras Tour merchandise earned an approximate $200 million in 2023, while Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film has grossed $250 million in worldwide ticket sales — making it the highest-grossing concert film of all time.

It is already estimated that Swift’s Eras Tour ticket sales will reach $1 billion again in 2024, which would take the tour’s total to more than $2 billion.

Josh Duhamel & Minka Kelly to star in Netflix drama ‘Ransom Canyon’

Netflix shared details about their new “romance-fueled family drama and contemporary Western saga” Ransom Canyon, starring Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly.  Netflix posted on X: “Ransom Canyon, starring Josh Duhamel and Minka Kelly, is a new romance-fueled family drama and contemporary western saga that charts the intersecting lives of three ranching families, all set against the rugged expanse of Texas Hill Country. Coming soon to Netflix.”

A press release said that Ransom Canyon “charts the intersecting lives of three ranching families, all set against the rugged expanse of Texas Hill Country.” Duhamel will play Staten Kirkland, the owner and sole occupant of the Double K Ranch who is described as a “steadfast and stoic” character who “leads the charge to resist outside forces threatening his way of life and the land that he loves.” Kelly will portray Quinn, a character that has “often found herself in the shadow of others, who after a stint in New York pursuing her career as a concert pianist has returned to Ransom Canyon to carve out a new path for herself.”

There are 10 books in the Ransom Canyon book series, with Season 1 of Netflix’s TV adaptation loosely based on the first one from 2015, Ransom Canyon. Netflix has ordered 10 episodes for Ransom Canyon; the first two will be directed by Amanda Marsalis (Ozark, Umbrella Academy).

Paul McCartney and Wings to release ‘Band On The Run 50th Anniversary Edition’

Fifty years after its original release, the expanded 50th-anniversary edition of Paul McCartney & Wings’ iconic Band on the Run will be released on February 2, 2024.  Band on the Run was originally released in December of 1973, featuring the hit songs “Jet,” “Bluebird,” “Let Me Roll It,” “Picasso’s Last Words (Drink to Me),” and “Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five,”

The 50th anniversary edition of Band on the Run will be available in a variety of formats, beginning with the essential 1LP. A 2CD format will feature the original US album, “underdubbed” mixes, and a double-sided fold-out Polaroid poster taken by Linda McCartney. Band on the Run (Underdubbed) will also be released digitally.

Says McCartney: “This is Band on the Run in a way you’ve never heard before. When you are making a song and putting on additional parts, like an extra guitar, that’s an overdub. Well, this version of the album is the opposite, underdubbed.”

Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard star in the trailer for ‘Memory’

Writer-director Michel Franco’s film Memory has released a trailer, starring Jessica Chasten and Peter Sarsgaard

Memory features Sarsgaard as single father Saul, who has early onset dementia; and Chastain as Sylvia, a recovering alcoholic who becomes Saul’s caretaker and develops a relationship with him. Elsie Fisher plays Saul’s daughter and Brooke Timber plays Sylvia’s. The film also stars Merritt Wever, Jessica Harper, and Josh Charles as Saul’s brother.

A film synopsis reads: “Sylvia is a social worker who leads a simple and structured life, that is blown open when Saul follows her home from their high school reunion. Their surprise encounter will profoundly impact both of them as they open the door to the past.”

Memory opens in select theaters Dec. 22 and goes into wide release on Jan. 5.  Take a look at the trailer – here.

Tiffany Haddish charged following second DUI arrest in Los Angeles

Tiffany Haddish has been charged after her second DUI arrest in Los Angeles.  According to TMZ, the 44-year-old was charged with two misdemeanors: driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content. Haddish’s arraignment has been scheduled for Dec. 22.

The Beverly Hills Police Department confirmed that Haddish was cited by officers after witnesses allegedly observed her stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive, apparently asleep with her car still running. The incident marked Haddish’s second arrest for driving under the influence — the first occurred in January 2022, where she was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia after officers responded to a report of someone sleeping behind the wheel. Haddish faced charges of DUI and improper stopping on a roadway, and was released after posting a $1,666 bond.

Following her November arrest, Haddish said she pledged that “this will never happen again,” adding, “I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries.”

Dave Grohl releases live performance of ‘Play’

Dave Grohl shared his first – and only – live performance of  ‘Play’ with a 36-minute version featured on Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes’ The Benefit Concert Volume 20.  ‘Play’ was originally released on Grohl’s 2018 EP Play as a 23-minute instrumental.

The performance of  ‘Play’ marked the first time Grohl played the song live and extended it another 13 minutes, along with Greg Kurstin on keyboards, former Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney, guitarists Jason Falkner, Alain Johannes, and Barrett Jones, and Drew Hester on percussion.

The Benefit Concert Volume 20 was originally recorded on December 7-8, 2018 in Asheville as a collection of performances from Haynes’ ’30th Annual Christmas Jam’, with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity in the city. In addition to ‘Play, Grohl also performed Foo Fighters‘ “Times Like These” with Haynes, and “Everlong,” along with Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World” with Gov’t Mule.

The Benefit Concert Volume 20 is available as a double vinyl in four colors—purple, orange, blue, and red and in CD and DVD and CD and Blu-ray formats, In addition to Grohl and Haynes, other artists featured on the album include Eric Church, Joe Bonamassa, Tyler Ramsey, Scott Murawski, Ron Holloway, Mike Gordon, Marco Benevento, Jamey Johnson, Edwin McCain, and Kevn Kinney.

Guns N’ Roses release long-awaited “The General” to streaming

Guns N’ Roses have finally released the track “The General” to streaming services after more than a decade. The band first recorded the song while making the 2008 album Chinese Democracy, and have occasionally talked about the song in interviews.

Guns N’ Roses fans heard the song live last month when the band debuted “The General” at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, with frontman Axl Rose introducing the song as one they had never played before and warned fans it “could be very interesting.” Additionally, the band released the song as a limited-edition vinyl single earlier this year.

Former Guns N’ Roses drummer Bryan “Brain” Mantia talked about “The General” with Rolling Stone in 2008, saying he reportedly co-penned “The General” in the early 2000s and claimed to be the one to give the song its title.
