Former ‘Bachelor’ host Chris Harrison is engaged. The 50-year-old Harrison proposed to his girlfriend, Lauren Zima, in Napa Valley, Calif., sharing photos from his proposal Monday on Instagram. One of the pictures shows Harrison down on one knee as he slips the engagement ring onto Zima’s finger with the caption: “I love you @laurenzima. The next chapter starts now!”

Zima confirmed the news in her own post: “We tell each other this all the time, and we said it again in an unforgettably beautiful moment this weekend: I didn’t know love could be like this. You are the most incredible partner. Thank you for loving me, championing me and asking me to marry you. Here’s to the next amazing chapter, and all the rest.”

Mastodon release their new track, ‘Sickle And Peace’

Mastodon have shared another new song titled ‘Sickle And Peace,’ a follow up to their single released earlier this month titled “Teardrinker.”  The track – which features vocals from album engineer Tom Tapley’s daughter – is taking from the band’s upcoming ninth full-length, Hushed And Grim, which is due out on October 29 via Reprise Records.

Bassist Troy Sanders says: “Mastodon feels as much like home now as ever. We’re not phoning it in, or releasing something obligatory. ‘Hushed And Grim’ was our most collaborative effort to date. There’s no one songwriter or lyricist. We’re all contributing, all writing, all committed to taking a risk. That exemplifies the term ‘band’. 17 years ago, we took a risk writing an album about Moby Dick. Now we’re taking a risk with a double-album. If it feels right, we do it.”

‘Friends’ actor James Michael Tyler dies at 59 of prostate cancer

James Michael Tyler, who played the role of Gunther on the hit TV show ‘Friends,’ has died at 59. His manager confirmed that Tyler died on Sunday, peacefully at his home, saying in a statement: “If you met him once you made a friend for life. [He] is survived by his wife, Jennifer Carno, the love of his life. Wanting to help as many people as possible, he bravely shared his story and became a campaigner for those with a prostate to get a… blood test as early as 40-years-old.”  In June, Tyler revealed he was battling stage 4 prostate cancer.

Tyler was well-known for his role as Gunther, the Central Perk coffee shop manager, who had an unrequited crush on Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) throughout the show’s run. While best known for Friends, his other onscreen credits include Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Showtime’s Episodes, and Scrubs.

Slash previews “The River is Rising” with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators

Slash teased his new single “The River Is Rising,” recorded with Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, off their upcoming fourth album.  Slash says in the video clip teaser for the song: “This was the first time that we actually did all the guitars, bass and drums live at the same time, and kept all those tracks, and we also did the vocals live as well. So the record just sounds like the band playing the songs that we came in with, but it’s us playing in the moment. And that’s what we were going for.”

Slash also shared that the album – recorded with Alter Bridge frontman Kennedy, and Conspirators guitarist Frank Sidoris, bassist Todd Kerns, and drummer Brent Fitz — is more of a live record because of how the band recorded it in the studio.  Said Slash: “This is pretty much a live record, from my standpoint. You’re just trying to kinda document where you are at that point in life, and do it in an authentic way.”

The album is the fourth project from Slash w/Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, since their 2018 release Living the Dream.  Slash shared: ”I think the record itself is probably the best one we’ve done so far. We’re showing no signs of slowing down.”

Cinematographer dead, director injured on film set after prop gun fired by actor Alec Baldwin misfires

Authorities confirmed on Thursday that a cinematographer working on the film “Rust” has died, and the director has been hospitalized, after an accident during filming involving actor Alec Baldwin misfiring a prop gun. The Western, starring Baldwin and Jensen Ackles of “Supernatural,” began filming this month at Bonanza Creek Movie Ranch, a film location in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement that deputies with the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office responded to the film set around 2 p.m. local time after a 911 caller “reported a shooting on the set.” Two people were shot after a prop firearm was discharged during filming, authorities said. Baldwin fired the prop gun, striking the film’s director, Joel Souza, and director of photography, Halyna Hutchins, the sheriff’s office said in a follow-up statement Thursday night. Detectives are still determining “how and what type of projectile was discharged,” the sheriff’s office said earlier.

Hutchins, 42, was transported via helicopter to University of New Mexico Hospital, the state’s only Level 1 trauma center, “in critical condition,” according to sheriff’s deputies and the hospital. She later succumbed to her injuries, the sheriff’s office said. Souza, 48, was brought in an ambulance to Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center and is receiving emergency care, authorities said.
