‘Saved By The Bell” Reboot To Premiere In November

The “Saved by the Bell” reboot has an official premiere date at Peacock. The streaming service said the reimagined version of the hit show will hit the air on November 25.

In a description of the new series, “when California governor Zack Morris gets into hot water for closing too many underfunded high schools, he proposes they send the affected students to the most well-funded schools in the state – including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids a much-needed dose of reality.”

Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Mario Lopez are set to star in the new series, reprising their roles as Jessie Spano and A.C. Slater. Mark-Paul Gosselaar is also set to return as Zack, but he will not be a full-time cast member because of his series regular commitment to ABC’s “mixed-ish.”  John Michael Higgins also stars as Principal Toddman alongside the new class featuring Belmont Cameli, Dexter Darden, Mitchell Hoog, Alycia Pascual-Peña, Josie Totah, and Haskiri Velazquez.

Metallica Donate $250,000 To U.S. Wildfire Relief Efforts

Metallica are continuing to give back via their All Within My Hands Foundation. The band have just announced another donation with AWMH, giving $250,000 to five organizations who are currently battling the Californian wildfires.

A statement read: “Wildfires have become a cruel and unwelcome annual benchmark in California, and this year we have seen them tragically extend across the entire west coast of our country. This is the fourth consecutive year, dating back to the formation of the Foundation, that All Within My Hands has activated to support fire relief: the critical local services component of our mission. This year, we will be donating a sum of $250,000 to five organizations on the front line of this environmental crisis that has made its way into the lives and homes of far too many.

The organizations include the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief Fund, the Oregon Community Foundation’s Wildfire Relief and Recovery Fund, the Community Foundation Santa Cruz County’s Fire Response Fund, the North Valley Community Foundation Wildfire Relief and Recovery Fund, and the Community Foundation of North Central Washington NCW Fire Relief Fund.

“We would like to encourage you to join us in supporting those in need and our first responders in any way you can by donating money, non-perishable food, clothing and other supplies, or by giving your time volunteering or providing safe, temporary housing. Every little bit helps.”
