Foo Fighters share zombie-apocalypse themed video for ‘Spit Shine’

Foo Fighters have unveiled a wild, horror-inspired music video for “Spit Shine,” a track from their latest album, Your Favorite Toy. Helmed by frontman Dave Grohl, the clip leans fully into zombie-apocalypse mayhem while matching the song’s raw, high-voltage energy.

The video kicks off with an ominous broadcast warning: “This is not a test — a viral outbreak has occurred. It is highly contagious and potentially lethal. Please stay indoors and do not panic.” From there, it cuts to the band dressed in stark white, performing before a hyped crowd in matching attire. But what started as a concert quickly spirals into chaos when a swarm of zombies crash the scene, attacking concertgoers in a gruesome frenzy. Despite the carnage unfolding around them, the performance barrels forward, with the band eventually drenched in blood as they continue to play. Grohl’s daughter, Harper, also appears in the video (and contributed to its casting.)

“Spit Shine” follows earlier track releases – including “Asking For A Friend,” “Of All People,” and “Caught In The Echo” – taken off the band’s 12th studio album Your Favorite Toy, which dropped April 24.  Reflecting on the album’s direction, Grohl previously explained that the title track helped define its sound: “Your Favorite Toy really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album,” he said, noting it became “the fuse to the powder keg of songs” that followed.
