Dawson replaces Nicko McBrain on drums, who performed his last shows with the band as they concluded their 2024 The Future Past Tour.

The band’s statement read: “Iron Maiden are delighted to announce that stepping in behind the kit for 2025 is a name familiar to many of our fans – Simon Dawson, a former session drummer and Steve’s rhythm section partner of the past 12 years with British Lion. He debuted on three tracks on the first British Lion album and all of the second critically acclaimed ‘The Burning’, plus the many subsequent tours in the US, UK, Europe, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and, most recently, both Mexico and South America.”

McBrain shared on Iron Maiden’s website: “After much consideration, it is with both sorrow and joy, I announce my decision to take a step back from the grind of the extensive touring lifestyle.  I wish the band much success moving forward. I will, however, remain firmly part of the Iron Maiden family working on a variety of projects, my long time managers, Rod Smallwood and Andy Taylor, have in mind for me. I’ll also be working on a variety of different personal projects and focusing on my existing businesses and ventures, including The British Drum Company, Nicko McBrain’s Drum One, Titanium Tart, and of course, Rock-N-Roll Ribs!”

The 2025 Run for our Lives World Tour trek kicks off on May 27th in Budapest followed by 27 stadium, festival, and arena shows around Europe spanning over two-years.  For information, head to Iron Maiden’s official website.

Coldplay shares ‘All My Love’ director’s cut video starring Dick Van Dyke

The music video for Coldplay’s song “All My Love” stars legendary actor Dick Van Dyke, who recently celebrated his 99th birthday. “All My Love” appears on Coldplay’s album Moon Music, which was released in October.

The over seven minutes long video features Van Dyke and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin at Van Dyke’s home in Malibu, where the acting icon reminisces, laughs and dances, while Martin sings and plays piano.

The music pauses intermittently as Van Dyke reflects on love and death, saying: “What is love? They’ve been attacking that question for centuries. I don’t know. It certainly is a feeling of caring about the welfare and the life of the other person as much as you care for yourself .. I’m acutely aware that I’m, you know, could go any day now, but I don’t know why it doesn’t concern me. I’m not afraid of it. I have that feeling, totally against anything intellectual I am, that I’m going to be alright .. I think I’m one of those lucky people who got to do for a living what I would have done anyway. When you think how lucky I am, I got to do what I do, play and act silly.”

The “All My Love” video also shares brief clips from throughout the Van Dyke’s career, with quick glimpses of his classic ’60s sitcom The Dick Van Dyke Show, the films Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins, and his appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Check out the video for All My Love: HERE.

Tom Holland and Zendaya are engaged

After rumors began to circulate about the relationship status of actors Tom Holland and Zendaya, TMZ has revealed that the couple are engaged.  The news comes after Zendaya stepped out at the 2025 Golden Globes sporting a diamond ring on her left ring finger, which appears to be a ‘5.02-carat East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring’ from Jessica McCormack.

According to the outlet, Holland proposed to Zendaya at one of her family homes over the holidays, with a source telling PEOPLE that “everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening” — just not when” and adding that Holland has been wanting to propose to Zendaya “for a while. He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special.”  The source also revealed that the couple, both 28, are planning on a long engagement: “They will just enjoy things for now and won’t rush a wedding. They are both busy with work projects.”

Holland and Zendaya — who play onscreen couple Peter Parker and Michelle “MJ” Jones in the Spider-Man movies — went Instagram official in September 2021, with Holland posting a selfie of the couple in honor of Zendaya’s 25th birthday, writing: “My MJ, have the happiest of birthdays. Gimme a call when your up xxx”   Later in a June 2022 Instagram post celebrating Holland’s 26th birthday, Zendaya wrote: “Happiest of birthdays to the one who makes me the happiest <3” alongside a black-and-white snapshot of the pair cuddling.
