Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox announce their engagement

Actress Megan Fox and musician Machine Gun Kelly are engaged.

On Wednesday, Fox wrote in the caption of an Instagram post announcing the engagement:  “In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree. We asked for magic. We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time. Unaware of the work and sacrifices the relationship would require from us but intoxicated off of the love. And the karma.  Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him.  And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes … and then we drank each other’s blood.”

Kelly wrote on his Instagram along with a picture of the couple’s ring: “Beneath the same branches we fell in love under, I brought her back to ask her to marry me. I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love. 1-11-2022.”

The pair met in March of 2020 while filming “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” and the couple confirmed their relationship in June 2020. This will be MGK’s first marriage, and Fox’s second.  Fox was married to ‘90210’ actor Brian Austin Green for 10 years, with whom she shares three sons.

Scorpions announce release date of new single, ‘Rock Believer’

Scorpions have revealed that their new single, “Rock Believer”, will be released on Thursday, January 13 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET.  “Rock Believer” is the title track from the band’s 19th studio album, which will be released on February 25.

Scorpions released the official music video for Rock Believer’s first single, “Peacemaker,” about two months ago.  When asked in a recent interview what fans can expect to hear on “Rock Believer”, singer Klaus Meine said: “Well, you can expect an album that is dedicated to all the rock believers in the world. And we’re very excited after all these years. We thought, when you think about all the touring we did the last 10 years, after the release of Return To Forever in 2015, the time was right to go back into the studio, to write new material, to write new songs and check out if the creativity is still working. The big aim was, the goal was to make a rock album — to make an album with lots of attitude, power and focus on the good old times and really enjoy the music and have some fun with the music. And that feels really good.”

Watch the new trailer for the dramatic reimagining of Fresh Prince titled ‘Bel-Air’

‘Bel-Air,’ Peacock’s dramatic reimagining of the Will Smith 90s sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has dropped a new trailer. Bel-Air is a new series inspired by Morgan Cooper’s 2019 viral YouTube video. Cooper, who’s credited on Bel-Air as director/co-writer/executive producer, said of the series:  “With this dramatic reimagining, we wanted to create a show that stands on its own while honoring the spirit and innovation of the original series. Because Bel-Air is a drama, we’re able to really peel back the layers of these characters and themes in a way that you simply couldn’t do 30 years ago in the half-hour sitcom format. We’re able to go have tough conversations that challenge perspectives. At its core, Bel-Air is a celebration of the Black experience through the perspective of a family.”

Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith are producing the new take on the show through their Westbrook Studios. The one-hour drama stars Jabari Banks as Will, who’s left Philadelphia for a second chance.  The cast also features Adrian Holmes as Phillip Banks, Cassandra Freeman as Vivian Banks, Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola as Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones as Jazz, and Simone Joy Jones as Lisa.

Bel-Air will premiere on Feb. 13; the date coincides with Super Bowl LVI, coverage of which will be available starting at 1 p.m. ET on the Peacock platform, as well as by way of NBC and Telemundo.  For its Peacock premiere, Bel-Air will release the first 3 episodes. Moving forward, new episodes will be made available on a weekly basis.
