Bryan Adams releases new video ‘So Happy It Hurts’ from his forthcoming album

Bryan Adams has released a music video for his brand new single “So Happy It Hurts,” the title track to his forthcoming album which will arrive on March 11, 2022.

Adams directed the video, and has this to say: “The pandemic and lockdown really brought home the truth that spontaneity can be taken away. Suddenly all touring stopped, no one could jump in the car and go. The title song ‘So Happy It Hurts’ is about freedom, autonomy, spontaneity, and the thrill of the open road. The album of the same name, touches on many of the ephemeral things in life that are really the secret to happiness, most importantly, human connection.”

GHOST joins Iron Maiden for the newest event in their ‘Legacy Of The Beast’ mobile game

GHOST has joined Iron Maiden for the newest event in their ‘Legacy Of The Beast’ mobile game. The event, dubbed Mascarade Diabolique, brings in vocalist Papa Emeritus IV for mashup of Iron Maiden’s 2003 album Dance Of Death and Ghost’s 2018 track Dance Macabre.  In the event, Eddie and Papa Emeritus IV are both invited to a mysterious party in Transylvania that goes awry.

Ghost’s Tobias Forge said: “I’m happy to see that my creature is being led into [Maiden’s] world. That is a cool thing, both very humbling and flattering.” Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood added: “It’s great that the LOTB mobile game continues to innovate. The introduction of other great band images and characters is a great evolution of the initial idea we had for Eddie’s gaming universe over 5 years ago. To have our friends, Ghost brings Papa Emeritus IV into a dungeon feels like the culmination of a relationship dating back to 2013 when the band first came with us to South America. With more slots on the Maiden England Tour in ’14 and then a proper run with us throughout North America on the 2017 The Book of Souls Tour we got to know that our fans appreciated seeing them and that they’d always be welcome with us on the road. I’m sure Eddie will help Papa cause some serious mayhem together and that’s what it’s all about!”

Eddie Van Halen memorial plaque unveiled in his hometown of Pasadena, California

The mayor and members of the city council of Eddie Van Halen’s hometown of Pasadena, Ca unveiled a memorial plaque to the late legendary guitarist.

According to Pasadena Now, Pasadena Mayor Victor Gordo and council members Tyron Hampton, Andy Wilson, Gene Masuda and Felicia Williams unveiled the plaque on a wall outside of the Pasadena Civic Auditorium during a private ceremony. COVID restrictions prevented public attendance. The Pasadena Civic Auditorium is a fitting placement for the plaque, as Van Halen played 14 concerts at the Civic Auditorium between 1975 to 1978, which launched Van Halen to stardom, after his family had emigrated from the Netherlands to Pasadena.

Said council member Williams: “This event brings together history and community to celebrate a world-renowned artist. It’s not just the history of Eddie as a guitar legend, but also the challenges he faced growing up mixed race in Pasadena, which always spoke to me. And the community support and initiative to make this happen is inspiring. Thank you to everyone!”   A close-up of the memorial plaque below can be viewed in the Instagram post – here.
