Asking Alexandria Release ‘Antisocialist’ – Unplugged Version

Asking Alexandria have released ‘Antisocialist (Unplugged)’, a new acoustic version of their current hit single from their latest album “Like A House On Fire.”

The band’s Ben Bruce said: “Over the years we have been known to release many acoustic versions of our songs from a number of albums. Antisocialist has rapidly become our most successful active rock single of our entire career so we wanted to do something special. Instead of just another ‘acoustic version’ of a song we decided to really strip this one back and try and recreate the song as an unplugged version that lives and breathes its own identity.

An unplugged, vulnerable rendition of the song that hopefully allows people to feel like they are in the room with the band whilst we play it. To all of our fans, old and new, we truly hope you enjoy this unique version of Antisocialist as much as we do. We love you.”

Netflix’s “Dead to Me” Returning For Third And Final Season

Netflix announced Monday that the acclaimed comedy Dead to Me will return for a third and final season. However, the streaming service also announced it had formed a multi-year partnership with series creator Liz Feldman for original series and other projects.

Dead to Me stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini as two grieving women who bond during therapy. The cast also includes James Marsden.

Feldman said in a statement. “From start to finish, Dead To Me is exactly the show I wanted to make. And it’s been an incredible gift. Telling a story sprung from grief and loss has stretched me as an artist and healed me as a human. I’ll be forever indebted to my partners in crime, my friends for life, Christina and Linda, and our brilliantly talented writers, cast and crew. I am beyond grateful to Netflix for supporting Dead To Me from day one, and I’m thrilled to continue our collaboration.”

A premiere date for season 3 has not yet ben announced. Season 2 of Dead to Me debuted on Netflix in May.

Broadway star Nick Cordero died on Sunday, July 5, due to complications from COVID-19. He was 41. Cordero’s wife, Amanda Kloots, posted on Instagram on Sunday afternoon, saying, “My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.”  Kloots captioned a black-and-white photo of her husband with the caption, “I am in disbelief and hurting everywhere. My heart is broken as I cannot imagine our lives without him. Nick was such a bright light. He was everyone’s friend, loved to listen, help and especially talk. He was an incredible actor and musician. He loved his family and loved being a father and husband. Elvis and I will miss him in everything we do, everyday.”  She ended her post with a thank you to everyone who supported her and her husband throughout his battle.

Cordero was admitted to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on March 31, where he had been unconscious in an intensive care unit. He was initially diagnosed with pneumonia, but later tested positive for the virus on April 1. Weeks later, Cordero underwent a procedure to have his right leg amputated on April 18.

Jason Momoa Will Voice Frosty The Snowman In New Live-Action Movie

Jason Momoa will be the voice Frosty the Snowman, bringing him to life in an upcoming live-action remake as a new computer-generated version of Frosty.

David Berenbaum, who wrote the classic Christmas movie Elf, is penning the new Frosty script, with Jon Berg, Greg Silverman, Geoff Johns and Momoa as producers. Berg said in a statement, “From his role as a fearsome count in a land of ice and fire to the oceanic success we all had with Aquaman, it felt only right to realize Jason this time out of snow.” Silverman added, “we know Jason’s as a true human being filled with love, compassion and a deep connection to ohana – all of which is the living spirit of Xmas and Frosty.”

The classic character made his animated debut in the 1969, based on the 1950s Christmas song of the same name.
