Slash Featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators Planning To Release New Album In 2021

Bassist/vocalist Todd Kerns has confirmed that SLASH featuring Myles Kennedy And The Conspirators will release a new album in 2021. The effort will be the follow-up to “Living The Dream”, which came out in September 2018 via Slash‘s own label Snakepit Records, in partnership with Roadrunner Records. Living the Dream was Slash‘s fourth solo album, and third with Slash and his CONSPIRATORS bandmates Kerns, Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums) and Frank Sidoris (guitar and vocals).

Kerns wrote in part on Instagram: “Lots of new music coming. New @officialalterbridge coming next month. A new @officialmyleskennedy solo album in 2021 plus SMKC4. New @toquerocks New @minefieldusa NEW MUSIC! That’s what it’s all about. I know 2020 has been beyond challenging but 2021 is going to awesome eventually. At least there will be a ton of new music. Once we get the live show thing sorted we’ll be cool.”

Actor Jeff Bridges Reveals He’s Been Diagnosed With Lymphoma

Oscar-winning actor Jeff Bridges revealed on Twitter Monday night that he’d been diagnosed with lymphoma. The 70-year-old actor said his doctors say his “prognosis is good” and will start treatment.

Bridges tweeted, “As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors, and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.” Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the body’s germ-fighting network.

Bridges thanked everyone for their love and support and reminded them to vote, saying, “I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends,” Bridges added. “Thank you for your prayers, and well wishes. And, while I have you, please remember to go vote. Because we are all in this together. Vote.org. Love, Jeff.”

Lady Gaga To Play Ex-Wife Of Maurizio Gucci In Ridley Scott Film ‘Gucci’

Lady Gaga will be back on the big screen after landing the leading role in Ridley Scott’s new film, Gucci. Gaga will star alongside Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Adam Driver and Jared Leto as Patrizia Reggiani, an Italian socialite and ex-wife of Mauricio Gucci, who was convicted of organizing his assassination. 

Reggiani and Gucci had two daughters together, Allegra and Alessandra, before Gucci left Reggiani for a younger woman in 1985 after 12 years of marriage. They were officially divorced by 1991. In March 1995, Maurizio Gucci was murdered and almost two years later in 1997, Reggiani was arrested for arranging the killing and was subsequently charged and sentenced to 29 years.

The film adaption of Gucci, written by Roberto Bentivegna, is based on the the book, The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed by Sara Gay Forden.

Gucci will begin filming March, 2021 in Italy, and is currently set for a November, 2021 release.

Stars Of “Designing Women” Reunite For Virtual Table Read For Charity

The characters from the classic sitcom Designing Women reunited for a table read for charity nearly three decades since the finale of the show.

Former series stars and celebrity superfans helped raise money for Color of Change, the nation’s largest online racial justice organization, and World Central Kitchen’s COVID-19 relief efforts to get fresh, nourishing meals to responders working on the frontlines and vulnerable communities across the country.

Returning stars who are reprised their roles included Jean Smart (Charlene Frazier-Stillfield), Annie Potts (Mary Jo Shively), and Scott Bakula (Ted Shively).  Sheryl Lee Ralph previously starred in the series in the role of Etienne Toussaint Bouvier, but played the character Mrs. Sundemeyer this time around. They were joined by Wendi McLendon-Covey as Suzanne Sugarbaker (originally played by Delta Burke), Kyra Sedgwick as Julia Sugarbaker (originally played by Dixie Carter), and Leslie Jordan as Ray Don Simpson (originally played by Arlen Dean Snyder).

Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Rumours’ Re-Enters Top 10 On Billboard 200 After 42 Years

Fleetwood Mac‘s 1977 album ‘Rumours’ has re-entered the top 10 of the Billboard 200 after 42 years. The album jumped from #13 to #7 this week, following its newfound popularity after Nathan Apodaca – otherwise known as 420doggface208 – posted his viral TikTok seen around the world of him longboarding while listening to ‘Dreams’ and drinking cranberry juice. ‘Dreams’ re-entered the Billboard 100 at #21, with that number is likely to rise this week given this recent jump for ‘Rumours’.

‘Rumours’ originally spent 31 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 between 1977 and 1978, which remains a record for an album by a duo or a band. The album was last in the top 10 on the week of February 18 in 1978, and hasn’t hit #7 since the week prior to that.

Mad Max Spin-Off ‘Furiosa’ To Star Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth And Yahya Abdul-Mateen II

Casting news has been announced for the upcoming “Mad Max” sequel which focuses on the character of Furiosa, who was portrayed by actress Charlize Theron in 2015’s “Mad Max: Fury Road”. Theron will not reprise the role for the new flick, and will instead be played by “Glass” star Anya Taylor-Joy. Taylor-Joy who will portray a younger version of Furiosa in the spin-off. Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will also star in the movie.

“Mad Max: Fury Road” was a box office smash in 2015, and went on to win six Oscars out of its 10 nominations. Currently, there is no word on when production will begin on Furiosa, and no release date has been set.

Adele Set To Make Debut As Host Of “Saturday Night Night Live” This Weekend

Adele announced over the weekend that she is set to host next week’s episode of Saturday Night Live, on Oct. 24. “Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this!!” Adele wrote on Instagram on Sunday“And also absolutely terrified! My first ever hosting gig and for SNL of all things!!!! I’ve always wanted to do it as a stand alone moment, so that I could roll up my sleeves and fully throw myself into it, but the time has never been right. But if there was ever a time for any of us to jump head first into the deep end with our eyes closed and hope for the best it’s 2020, right?”

Adele will be joined by musical guest H.E.R. on the show. “I love her SO much, I can’t wait to melt into a flaming hot mess when she performs, then confuse myself while I laugh my arse off in between it all,” Adele wrote.

Adele last appeared on SNL in 2015, when she was promoting her album 25. She was previously on he show in 2008, to promote her debut 19.

The Kinks To Reissue ‘Lola Versus Powerman’ 50th Anniversary Box Set

The Kinks have unveiled full details about the expanded 50th anniversary reissue of their 1970 concept album Lola Versus Powerman and the Moneygoround, Part One, which will be released on December 18. The deluxe-edition box set featuring three CDs, including a remastered stereo mix of the original album, alternate mixes and versions of songs, B-sides, session tapes, live performances, BBC recordings, and demos and medleys offering new conversations between Kinks members Ray and Dave Davies.

When fans pre-order the collection from The Kinks’ official store, you’ll get an exclusive bonus vinyl “Lola” single and an enamel pin. The Kinks have released one of the bonus tracks as a digital single and via streaming services — a new medley created by Ray Davies called “The Follower/Any Time 2020” that incorporates previously unreleased versions and excerpts of several Lola Versus Powerman tracks, plus spoken-word segments and sound effects.

Take A Look At Foo Fighters Playing Acoustic Set For “Save Our Stages” Fundraiser

Over the weekend, Foo Fighters took to the stage to play a special five-song acoustic set for virtual benefit event Save Our Stages at Los Angeles’ iconic Troubadour. The benefit raised money and awareness for struggling independent venues across America.

The band performed stripped-down versions of My Hero and Everlong, and Dave spoke of the importance of Save Our Stages festival, saying, “It’s crucial that we do everything we can to make sure that these venues survive in order to inspire the next generation of musicians to go on and do beautiful things with their lives like make music. So please donate anything you can, ’cause we’re really hoping that we can save these smaller venues.”
