Alec Baldwin ‘taking a break’ from Twitter after controversy over wife Hilaria Baldwin’s heritage

Alec Baldwin announced that he is taking a break from Twitter after the scandal surrounding his wife, Hilaria Baldwin. Baldwin tweeted “Twitter is like a party where everybody is screaming. Not much of a party. Goodbye for now.”

Alec’s announcement comes nearly one month after Hilaria, 37, was forced to deny accusations that she has been lying about her Spanish heritage and faking her accent for years. Hilaria had vowed to “sign off [Instagram] for a long time” in the wake of the controversy, but returned just three hours later. She then sat down for an interview with The New York Times, in which she shut down cultural appropriation allegations.

Alec released an eight-and-a-half-minute Instagram video on December 27, telling his 2 million followers that people were being “ridiculous” for calling out his wife of eight years. “We live in a world now where we’re hidden behind the anonymity of social media,” he said. “People feel that they can say anything.”

Foo Fighters Release ‘Waiting On War’ Video

The Foo Fighters have released a music video for their new single, “Waiting On A War” from their forthcoming album, “Medicine At Midnight,” which is set for release on February 5th.

Frontman Dave Grohl said, “As a child growing up in the suburbs of Washington DC, I was always afraid of war. I had nightmares of missiles in the sky and soldiers in my backyard, most likely brought upon by the political tension of the early 1980’s and my proximity to the Nation’s Capitol. My youth was spent under the dark cloud of a hopeless future. Last fall, as I was driving my 11 year old daughter to school, she turned to me and asked, ‘Daddy, is there going to be a war?’ My heart sank in my chest as I looked into her innocent eyes, because I realized that she was now living under that same dark cloud of a hopeless future that I had felt 40 years ago. I wrote ‘Waiting On A War’ that day.”

Bad Religion’s New Song ‘Emancipation of the Mind’ debuts on Inauguration Day

Bad Religion released “Emancipation Of The Mind,” an outtake from the 2019 album Age Of Unreason which debuted on the inauguration day of President Joe Biden.

The lyrics call for reason and open-mindedness as a new administration is welcomed into the White House. Co-songwriter and vocalist Greg Graffin said, “I think the song really is a celebration of enlightenment values that can be cultivated through enthusiastic learning and open-mindedness. So often we’re told what to think. But learning how to think (as opposed to learning what to think) is a true feeling of emancipation from the constraints of indoctrination that are so commonplace in our society.”
