Christina Milian joins Starz series ‘Step Up’ in role originated by the late Naya Rivera

Christina Milian has joined the Starz series Step Up as Collette, a role originated by the late Naya Rivera. Rivera starred as Collette in the first two seasons of the series, which aired on YouTube before moving to Starz. Rivera died at the age of 33 in July from accidental drowning while boating with her 5-year-old son Josey.

Milian said in a statement: “I am so excited to join the Step Up family. I know I have massive shoes to fill. Naya was incredible. I hope to honor Naya, her family, friends and fans with a great performance.”  Series star Ne-Yo also said in a statement, “There is no replacing Naya. Let’s get that straight. Her spirit lives on in our memories and every part what this show is and will be. Christina has big shoes to fill and she knows it, which speaks to her poise and respect as a person and an artist. I’m more than certain of her ability to bring an energy and light to this character that Naya’s fans as well as the rest of the world will love. We’ve welcomed Christina with absolute open arms and have rallied around her with love and support. I’m excited and can’t wait for the world to see this!”

Production on the new season of Step Up started in February in Atlanta. The first two seasons of Step Up will be available on Starz across all platforms and will begin airing on the network every Friday at 8 p.m. EST starting on March 5.

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers announces engage amid reports he’s dating actress Shailene Woodley

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers announced he is engaged over the weekend, but the question being asked on social media is – to who?

Rodgers revealed the engagement news as he accepted the NFL’s Most Valuable Player Award for the third time in his career. “2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing and memorable moments,” Rodgers said. “I got engaged and I played some of the best football of my career.”  Reports recently surfaced just this week that Rodgers had been dating ‘Big Little Lies’ actress Shailene Woodley, but the QB didn’t confirm the news when he made his announcement Saturday.  Rodgers never mentioned the name of the mystery woman during his MVP acceptance speech, just referred to her as “my fiancé.”

Rodgers has previously been in long-term relationships with former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick and actress Olivia Munn.

Foo Fighters have released a music video for their song “No Son Of Mine” from their just released new studio album, “Medicine At Midnight”.

Frontman Dave Grohl said about the song, “This is the kind of song that just resides in all of us and if it makes sense at the time, we let it out. Lyrically, it’s meant to poke at the hypocrisy of self righteous leaders, people that are guilty of committing the crimes they’re supposedly against.”

THE PRETTY RECKLESS featuring Tom Morello drop music video for “And So It Went”

The Pretty Reckless has released the video for their new song “And So It Went” featuring Rage Against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello.  You can take a look at the video – here

Vocalist Taylor Momsen said about the song, “The world has been in such a state of civil unrest.  And So It Went basically comes from that vision. As a songwriter, I feel like I’m not here to preach. I use music to observe and communicate what I see around me. This song felt like the perfect storm for Tom Morello to join in and rip the sound waves apart with his guitar. It was more than a pleasure having him add his unique and defining sound to the song.”

And So It Went is off the band’s upcoming album Death By Rock And Roll out February 12, which can be pre-ordered here.
