Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez break up and officially end their engagement

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez officially ended their engagement and have called it quits, issuing a joint statement saying: “We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so. We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another’s children. Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have is to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support.”

The news comes just weeks after 51-year-old Lopez and 45-year-old Rodriguez announced that they were “working through some things” after rumors surfaced that the two had ended their engagement in early March.  The couple were engaged in the Bahamas in March 2019 after dating for two years, and spent much of their time together with their blended families — Lopez’s 13-year-old twins Maximilian “Max” David and Emme Maribel that she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, and Rodriguez’s daughters Ella, 12, and Natasha, 16, with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis.

Pete Davidson to play punk rocker Joey Ramone in Netflix biopic

“Saturday Night Live’s” Pete Davidson has been cast as Ramones singer Joey Ramone in the upcoming biopic based on the punk icon’s life.  The film, which is being developed by Netflix in collaboration with STXfilms, will be based on and have the same title as Ramone’s brother Mickey Leigh’s 2009 book, “I Slept With Joey Ramone: A Family Memoir.”

STXfilms chairman Adam Fogelson said: ‘I Slept With Joey Ramone’ is a great rock anthem that will make an equally great rock biopic, set apart by a universal story of family. Pete is perfect for this role, and we’re excited he and Jason will be bringing this icon of rock to life and thrilled to be collaborating once again with our friends at Netflix,” he said.

Ramone passed away in 2001 at age 49 following a battle with lymphoma. His music and legacy lives on through an annual birthday celebration thrown for him by Leigh, 66, who also maintains an archive of his possessions in his former East Village apartment. The estate of Joey Ramone will be supporting and cooperating with the film’s production.

The Bachelor’s Colton Underwood comes out as gay

On Wednesday, former Bachelor star Colton Underwood, 29, appeared on Good Morning America where he came out as gay in a sit-down interview with Robin Roberts. Underwood said that he has used 2020 to reflect on himself and “came to terms” with his sexuality earlier this year.

The reality star said, “I’ve ran from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time, and I’m gay. I came to terms with that earlier this year and trying to process it. I’m emotional, but in such a good happy positive way. I’m happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my life.” Asked about why Underwood is now revealing the news, the star said he got “into a place for me in personal life that was dark and bad.”

The former football star starred as the Bachelor during Season 23 of the dating show in 2019, ultimately giving his final rose to contestant Cassie Randolph. During the GMA interview, Underwood said he was still in love with Randolph and “loved everything about her” during his season of the reality show. Underwood and Randolph, 25, never got engaged, and dated until announcing their split in May 2020.

Grohl said of the documentary: “This film is my love letter to every musician that has ever jumped in an old van with their friends and left it all behind for the simple reward of playing music.
