Mark Harmon is leaving CBS’s ‘NCIS’ after 18 seasons

Longtime ‘NCIS’ star Mark Harmon is leaving the series after 18 seasons. The 70-year-old Harmon appeared as Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in his final episode of the police procedural series on Monday, which showed Gibbs deciding to remain in Alaska indefinitely after solving a case. Gibbs told his partner, Special Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray): “I’m not going back, Tim. I’m not going back home.”

Binder said in a statement: “As an executive producer and dear friend, Mark continues to be an integral part of the fabric of the show. Our north star has always been staying true to our characters, and that truth has always guided the stories we tell and where those characters go. So regarding the future of Gibbs, as long-time fans of the show may have noticed over the years… never count Leroy Jethro Gibbs out.”

NCIS is in its 19th season on CBS. The series co-stars Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Katrina Law, Brian Dietzen, Diona Reasonover, David McCallum and Rocky Carroll.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss team up for the new song ‘High and Lonesome’

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have released their new single “High and Lonesome,” a track from their forthcoming album, “Raise The Roof”, set to debut on November 19th.

The new album is Plant and Krauss’ first collaboration together in fourteen years; it was recorded at Nashville’s Sound Emporium Studios beginning in late 2019 and wrapped up shortly before the pandemic lockdown.

Plant said of the album, “It’s such a far cry from everything I’ve done before. I love the whole kaleidoscope of music that I’ve explored, but this is a place where you can think within the song, you can decide how to bring home an emotion. It’s another blend that we’ve got, and long may we have more of them.” Added Krauss, “One of my favorite parts of this is the songs and songwriters that I had never heard of. Working with Robert, and with T Bone, is always a great education in music history.”
