Five Finger Death Punch drop new song and video for ‘Welcome to the Circus’ 

Five Finger Death Punch have dropped another new song from their upcoming album “Afterlife” called “Welcome to the Circus”, along with an accompanying video. “Welcome to the Circus” is the third song they’ve unveiled from the record, following the title track and “I.O.U.”  You can take a look at the video for “Welcome to the Circus” – here.

“Welcome to the Circus” serves as the opening track on the album, which will be out Aug. 19. Five Finger Death Punch have also set a record for most consecutive Mainstream Rock airplay chart-toppers with the lead single “Afterlife”, the band’s first record since their 2019 release F8.  A variety of editions of the album are available for purchase — pre-order your copy here.

Five Finger Death Punch will hit the road in the U.S. in support of Afterlife this summer with Megadeth, The Hu and Fire From the Gods. The tour kicks off Aug. 19  in Ridgefield, Wash., and will run through mid-October. Get tickets on the band’s website.

2022 Ohana Festival announces encore weekend lineup with Black Keys, Alanis Morissette and Haim

Due to the success of the 2021 Ohana Festival ‘Encore Weekend,’ Eddie Vedder and the festival organizers will do it again for 2022.   The Ohana Encore Weekend will feature another weekend of music, with performances once again taking place at the Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California.  The initial Ohana Festival weekend takes place Sept. 30-Oct. 2, with Stevie Nicks, Eddie Vedder, Jack White and P!nk among the headlining acts.

For Ohana Encore Weekend, Vedder will return to headline the first night on Oct. 8, sharing top billing with Alanis Morissette and featuring a lineup which includes The Roots, Julieta Venegas, The Front Bottoms, Amos Lee, Marcus King, Painted Shield, Charlotte Lawrence, Trousdale, Seratones and Jonny Roundhouse.

The second day features The Black Keys and Haim as headliners, with Band of Horses, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Afghan Whigs, Amyl and the Sniffers, Iceage, Hamilton Leithhauser, Pluralone, Illuminati Hotties, Jaime Wyatt and Jonny Roundhouse also on the bill.

Hulu shares fall premiere date for “The Handmaid’s Tale” Season 5

Hulu announced the premiere date of The Handmaid’s Tale Season 5, set to return on Sept. 14.  Hulu made the announcement in a tweet, posting “Season 5 arrives September 14.” Attached to the tweet were new stills of stars Elisabeth Moss and Yvonne Strahovski.

Moss stars as June Osborne, and in the pictures posted on Twitter she stares intensely into the camera. Strahovski, as Serena Joy Waterford, wears a veil and a black robe in her photo.

The new season comes over a year after Season 4 ended in June 2021 with a shocking finale. The Handmaid’s Tale season 5 will premiere on Hulu with two episodes on Sept. 14, with remaining episodes debuting weekly on Wednesdays.

Netflix shares first-look photos for ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Volume 2

Netflix is sharing a glimpse of Stranger Things Season 4, Volume 2, revealing first-look photos for the new episodes. The Volume 2 photos include looks at Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), Jim Hopper (David Harbour), Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke) and the rest of the cast.

One of the photos shows Eleven with Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine), aka Papa. Another photo shows Jonathan (Charlie Heaton), Will (Noah Schnapp), Mike (Finn Wolfhard) and Argyle (Eduardo Franco) making their escape in Argyle’s van. In addition, Eddie (Joseph Quinn), Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and other characters are seen gathered around a book.

Volume 1 ended with a twist reveal, and the final two episodes will lead to a giant showdown set to “punch you right in the heart,” according to executive producer and director Shawn Levy. The official description for season four reads: “It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time — and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down.”

The two episodes in Volume 2 will drop July 1 and span nearly four hours — 408 runs 1 hour, 25 minutes and the finale, 409, will be a whopping 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Parkway Drive set as co-headliner for the ShipRocked 2023 festival cruise with Falling in Reverse

Parkway Drive have been announced as co-headliners for ShipRocked 2023 alongside Falling In Reverse. It’ll be their first American tour date since Spring 2019. Joining the bands on the six-day cruise will be Nothing More, Skillet, Suicidal Tendencies, Motionless In White, grandson, Ayron Jones, and over a dozen more.

Parkway Drive said, “After the last couple of years of chaos, we can’t wait to share this unique experience with our fans…cruising and exploring one of the most beautiful parts of the planet by day and smashing the stage by night. We’re so stoked this is happening and we’ll see everyone on deck!” 

For its 13th year, the legendary rock cruise will be held over six days. The cruise will depart from Port Canaveral, Florida with stops at Half Moon Cay in The Bahamas, Grand Turk in Turks & Caicos Islands, and Dominican Republic’s Amber Cove.  Limited staterooms are still available at the ShipRocked website. Once all rooms sell out, a waitlist will be established.

Foo Fighters reveal lineups for Taylor Hawkins tribute concerts in London and L.A.

Foo Fighters have revealed the lineups for the two tribute concerts honoring their late drummer Taylor Hawkins. The first concert will take place in London’s Wembley Stadium Sept. 3, with the second set for Los Angeles’ Kia Forum Sept. 27. Proceeds from the shows will benefit charities in both the U.S. and U.K., chosen by Hawkins’ family.

The band first tweeted the London lineup with the caption: “London! Please welcome the first wave of special guests to join The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts! More to be announced soon. Tickets on sale Friday 17 June at 9am local time.”  Performers in London include Geddy Lee (Rush), Chrissie Hynde (The Pretenders), Alex Lifeson, Liam Gallagher (Oasis), Roger Taylor(Queen), Brian May (Queen), Stewart Copeland, Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction) and more.

Shortly after, they tweeted the lineup for the Los Angeles show, with a caption reading: “Los Angeles! Please welcome the first wave of special guests to join The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts! More to be announced soon. Tickets on sale Friday, June 17 at 9am local time.”  Performers in L.A include Miley Cyrus, Alanis Morissette, Joan Jett, Brad Wilk (Rage Against The Machine), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and many others.

Apple TV+ orders ‘Sugar’ series starring Colin Farrell

Apple TV+ has given a series order to the genre-bending series Sugar, created by ‘I Am Legend’ co-writer Mark Protosevich and featuring Colin Farrell in the lead role.  Plot details are being kept under wraps.

The new series is directed by Fernando Meirelles (City of God) and executive produced by Protosevich, Farrell, Simon Kinberg, Audrey Chon and Scott Greenberg.  Sugar is Kinberg’s second collaboration with Apple TV+ following the sci-fi drama series Invasion. 

Farrell’s previous TV roles include Det. Ray Velcoro on True Detective and Henry Drax in The North Water, and he most recently starred as the Penguin in the film The Batman.

Check out the final trailer for Jordan Peele’s sci-fi horror film “NOPE”

Universal Pictures is sharing the final trailer for Jordan Peele’s new sci-fi horror movie Nope, featuring Daniel Kaluuya, Keke Palmer and Steven Yeun.  Barbie Ferreira, Donna Mills, Andrew Patrick Ralston and Keith David also star.

The trailer shows siblings Otis (Kaluuya) and Emerald Haywood (Palmer) investigate the mysterious clouds looming above their family ranch following their father’s death. Otis and Emerald attribute the strange occurrences to a UFO and recruit security camera specialist Kevin (Brandon Perea) and UFO expert Craig (Michael Wincott) to help them capture footage of the aliens on film. The siblings’ efforts seem to anger the extra-terrestrial beings, who begin terrorizing the ranch.

Nope is written and directed by Peele (‘Get Out,’ ‘Us’), and will debut in theaters on July 22.  Take a look at the trailer – here.

Slipknot announces fall run of shows with Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire

Slipknot have extended their 2022 Knotfest Roadshow, announcing a fall leg set to kick off in late September. The new run of dates will launch Sept. 20 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, with shows planned in cities like Austin, Dallas, Albuquerque, and Phoenix before wrapping up on Oct. 7 at the FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine, California.

Slipknot will be joined on these dates by Ice Nine Kills and Crown the Empire. Tickets will go on sale June 17 at 10 a.m. local time, while a presale will run June 14 through June 16. Full information is on the Knotfest website.

Slipknot have been quiet in the studio of late; kast November, the group released a new song, “The Chapeltown Rag,” which marked their first new music since 2019, when they dropped their most recent album, We Are Not Your Kind.

Jack White shares the video for ‘If I Die Tomorrow’

Jack White has released a new video for his latest single, ‘If I Die Tomorrow’, taken off his upcoming album ‘Entering Heaven Alive’ which is set for release on July 22.   In the video, Jack walks through a sparse field and forest filled with mysterious characters, which also features washed out blue tones, replicating the color scheme White has taken on during this album cycle.

‘Entering Heaven Alive’ follows Jack’s other recent single ‘Fear Of The Dawn,’ which was released in April. White announced last November that he would release two albums back-to-back in 2022. The first featured singles ‘Taking Me Back’, ‘Hi-De-Ho’ and ‘Queen Of The Bees’.
