Alter Bridge drop the title track to upcoming LP ‘Pawns & Kings’

Alter Bridge have issued the title track from their album Pawns & Kings, along with details of the forthcoming album release date of Oct. 14.  You check out the new lyric video for Pawns & Kingshere.

The band – consisting of frontman/singer Myles Kennedy, guitarist Mark Tremonti, drummer Scott Phillips and bassist Brian Marshall — worked again with longtime producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette on the project.

Machine Gun Kelly, Metallica, J-Hope set to headline Hulu’s Lollapalloza 2022 livestream

Hulu announced earlier this year that it would serve as the official streaming destination for three of C3 Presents’ biggest music festivals – Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits Music Festival in 2022 and 2023.

Hulu has now announced the streaming lineup schedule for Lollapalooza, running July 28-31 in Chicago. The festival will include artists like Metallica, Machine Gun Kelly, J-Hope,  Kygo, Tove Lo, Don Toliver, Wallows, IDLES, Denzel Curry, and Porno for Pyros. Two different live feeds will be available Friday through Sunday, with one feed for the Thursday shows. Select performances will be live-streamed exclusively to Hulu SVOD subscribers at no additional cost.

The trailer for Season 2 of “American Horror Stories” reveals cast

FX announced details of the upcoming second season of American Horror Stories, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk.  The network shared a trailer for the season, as well as a video introducing the new cast.  American Horror Stories — a spinoff of American Horror Story — follows an anthology format, with each episode telling a different horror story. 

American Horror Story and American Horror Stories alums Denis O’Hare, Cody Fern, Derrick Aguis, Gabourey Sidibe, Genevieve Aitken, Max Greenfield and Nico Greetham return for Season 2. In addition, Alicia Silverstone, Bella Thorne, Dominique Jackson, Judith Light and Quvenzhané Wallis join the cast. In the Season 2 trailer, O’Hare’s character is shown running a “creepy dollhouse,” and Thorne is also shown, saying, “There’s not a serial killer that’s going to stop me from doing my thing.”

Season 2 of American Horror Stories will premiere July 21 on FX on Hulu.

Disturbed drop the music video for their new song “Hey You”

Disturbed are sharing the music video for their brand new single “Hey You,” the band’s first new music since their 2018 album, “Evolution.”

Frontman David Draiman says of the video: “it’s a wake up call. We’ve become our own worst enemies. Civil discourse has become the exception instead of the norm. People have lost themselves in outrage addiction.”  Take a look at the video for “Hey You” – here.

The band also announced that they plan to release a new album later this year; and fans can catch them at several music festivals this summer and fall.

Limp Bizkit postpones U.K. tour dates due to frontman Fred Durst’s health concerns

Limp Bizkit has postponed their tour of the United Kingdom amidst lead vocalist Fred Durst’s health concerns.

The 51-year-old Durst and the band said in a statement on Instagram: “For personal health concerns and based on medical advice given by my personal physician to take an immediate break from touring, Limp Bizkit will sadly have to postpone their 2022 Uk and European tour. We truly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our loyal fans, promoters and support staff.”  The statement added that the dates of the tour would be rescheduled at a later time.

Durst said in an additional video message posted on the group’s website that the advice from his doctor came following tests to see if he was well enough to go on tour: “This was very unexpected news, and I’m so sorry, and I look forward to making it up to you as soon as possible.” Durst added that he was “truly grateful” to his fans.

The U.K. and European stint was scheduled to be the latest leg of Limp Bizkit’s Still Sucks tour, based on their 2021 album of the same name. The U.K. leg of the tour was supposed to begin this September with concerts in London, Birmingham, and Manchester.

Watch the teaser trailer for HBO Max’s ‘The Idol’ starring The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp

The teaser for the forthcoming HBO Max series ‘The Idol’ was released, starring The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp and co-created by The Weeknd, Reza Fahim, and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson.

According to HBO’s official synopsis, The Idol is “set against the backdrop of the music industry and centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol.”

The Idol features a supporting cast that includes Troye Sivan, Jennie Kim, Debby Ryan, Rachel Sennott, Steve Zissis, Hari Nef, and Juliebeth Gonzalez.

Jennifer Lopez shares details and first photos from her Las Vegas wedding to Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez confirmed that she and Ben Affleck tied the knot in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 16. Lopez revealed the news through her fan site “On The JLo.”

Lopez began her message to her fans:  “We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”  Lopez said the occasion was exactly what the couple wanted, sharing that they flew to Las Vegas and waited in line with four other couples to wait for their wedding license. The 52-year-old Lopez also said that she and Affleck, 49, almost didn’t make it to the chapel by midnight, but they stayed open a few minutes late so they could take pictures in a pink Cadillac convertible. Lopez continued the post, writing, “When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is one another and the promise we make to love, care, understand, be patient, loving and good to one another. We had that. And so much more.”

Saying it was the “best night of our lives,” Lopez concluded: “They were right when they said, ‘all you need is love. We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to. Stick around long enough and maybe you’ll find the best moment of your life in a drive through in Las Vegas at twelve thirty in the morning in the tunnel of love drive through, with your kids and the one you’ll spend forever with. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things-and worth waiting for.” Lopez signed the message, “With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck.”

20 years after they ended their first engagement, the famous couple rekindled their romance in 2021 and got engaged for the second time in April 2022.  Lopez shares 14-year-old twins Emme and Max with her third husband, Marc Anthony; while Affleck shares three children with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.

Take a look at the teaser for Season 5 of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’

Hulu released a teaser for Season 5 of The Handmaids Tale which shows June (Elizabeth Moss) ready for battle against the fallout for killing her commander in the Season 4 finale.

In the trailer, June — a free woman since killing her commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) — faces Gilead’s wrath, and hostility of Waterford’s widow Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski).

The Handmaids Tale is based on the Margaret Atwood novel of the same name, which takes place in a dystopian future where fertile women are enslaved as handmaids to serve as surrogates to rich, infertile women.

Hulu previously announced that Season 5 premieres on Sept. 14.  Take a look at the trailer – here.

Rolling Stones docuseries ‘My Life as a Rolling Stone” to premiere in August

Epix announced on social media that the four-part docuseries My Life as a Rolling Stone, featuring Mick Jagger, Keith Richard, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, will premiere Aug. 7.

The series, which celebrates the British rock legends’ 60th anniversary, will look at how the rock band formed in 1962 has maintained its longevity.  Each hour-long episode will focus on one of the band’s four main members — Jagger, Richards, Wood and late Watts.  Jagger, 78, an original band member and singer; Richards, 78, a singer, songwriter and guitarist, drummer Watts (who passed away last August at age 80), and Wood, 75, who plays slide guitar.

My Life as a Rolling Stone also will feature Rod Stewart, Tina Turner, Chrissie Hynde, Jon Bon Jovi, Joe Walsh, AC/DC‘s Brian Johnson, Metallica‘s Lars Ulrich, Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, Tom Waits, Dan Aykroyd and more. Actress Sienna Miller narrates the series.

The first episode will profile Jagger and will be available to watch for free via various cable and streaming services. The Richards, Wood and Watts episodes will debut on EPIX on August 14, August 21 and August 28, respectively.
