Renner, 51, has played a starring role as Hawkeye in Marvel’s “The Avengers” movies and the series “Hawkeye” on Disney+. He also earned Academy Award nominations for “The Town” and “The Hurt Locker.

His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said that Renner was airlifted to a local hospital from the site of the incident in Reno, Nevada.  The sheriff’s office said in a statement: “At approximately 9:00am on January 1, 2023, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office responded to a traumatic injury in the area of Mt. Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler accused of sexual assault of minor

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has been accused of sexual assault of a minor in a new lawsuit. Julia Misley alleges in a lawsuit filed under the California Child Victims Act that she was sexually abused by Tyler when she was a teenager in the 1970s. The lawsuit was filed in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles and published online by Misley’s attorneys, as the three-year grace period lifting the statute of limitations for those who were sexually abused as children was set to expire.

The 65-year-old Misley wrote in a statement that she learned she had a new opportunity to take legal action because of the change in California law. The rock star is not named in the lawsuit itself and identified in the court documents as “Defendant Doe 1 … Because I know that I am not the only one who suffered abuse in the music industry, I feel it is time for me to take this stand and bring this action, to speak up and stand in solidarity with the other survivors. I hope that from this action, we can make the music industry safer, expose the predators in it, and expose those forces in the industry that have both enabled and created a culture of permissiveness and self-protection of themselves and the celebrity offenders among them.”

Misley says that she was “retraumatized” by Tyler after he detailed in his memoir “Does the Noise in My Head Bother You” how he “almost took a teen bride” while describing sexual encounters with her. Tyler allegedly met Misley in 1973 when she was just 16 years old and he was 25, and she is named in a 1976 profile on Aerosmith in the magazine Rolling Stone.

The New Year Honors list for 2023 — the first issued since the death of Queen Elizabeth II — cites May as “Dr. Brian Harold May CBE, Musician, Astrophysicist and animal welfare advocate for services to music and to charity.” The New Year Honors list recognizes the achievements and service of people across the U.K. from all walks of life from the arts, sciences, television and film, fashion, philanthropic endeavors, and beyond.

Foo Fighters to carry on, tease future plans in message on New Year’s Eve

Foo Fighters have shared that they will be “a different band going forward” as they tease future plans following the unexpected passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins in March 2022.

The band shared a message on social media on New Year’s Eve, telling fans that Hawkins will be with them in spirit: “As we say goodbye to the most difficult and tragic year that our band has ever known, we are reminded of how thankful we are for the people that we love and cherish the most, and for the loved ones who are no longer with us. Foo Fighters were formed 27 years ago to represent the healing power of music and a continuation of life. And for the past 27 years our fans have built a worldwide community, a devoted support system that has helped us get through the darkest of times together. A place to share our joy and our pain, our hopes and fears, and to join in a chorus of life together through music. Without Taylor, we never would have become the band that we were — and without Taylor, we know that we’re going to be a different band going forward … “We also know that you, the fans, meant as much to Taylor as he meant to you. And we know that when we see you again — and we will soon — he’ll be there in spirit with all of us every night.”

The band has been on hiatus ever since Hawkins death on March 25th, 2022 while the group was on tour in South America, canceling the remainder of its tour dates.

Modest Mouse drummer Jeremiah Green dies at age 45

Jeremiah Green, the drummer and co-founder of the indie rock band Modest Mouse, died at the age of 45.

The band confirmed the news of Green’s death, writing in a statement posted on its official Instagram page: “I don’t know a way to ease into this: Today we lost our dear friend Jeremiah. He laid down to rest and simply faded out. I’d like to say a bunch of pretty words right now, but it just isn’t the time. These will come later, and from many people. Please appreciate all the love you give, get, have given, and will get. Above all, Jeremiah was about love. We love you.”

Green’s mother, Carol Namatame, wrote in a Facebook post on Christmas for people to keep Green in their thoughts because he was battling stage 4 cancer. A few days later, Modest Mouse singer Isaac Brock shared a statement of his own about Green’s health on the band’s social media platforms: “Some of you may have already heard, but I figured it would be good to hear the news directly from our camp. Jeremiah was diagnosed with cancer a short while ago, and he’s currently in treatment. It seems to be going smoothly and making a positive difference. Jeremiah, as am I, are believers in the power of positive energy, so if you would be so kind as to send ‘good vibes’ (to quote Jeremiah) in the direction of Jeremiah and his family, that’d be great. Thank you and love.”

Green co-founded Modest Mouse with Brock and bassist Eric Judy in 1992. Green has been with the band for 30 years, except for a short time in 2003,
