Daldry and Martin said in a statement: “It’s a joy to discover the world of Stranger Things: The First Shadow with our ferociously talented cast and watch the alchemy amongst our entire company grow as we together explore this new play. We couldn’t be more thrilled and can’t wait for you to meet them all live on stage. See you in London, nerds!”

Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith split after nearly 4 years of marriage

Joshua Jackson and Jodie Turner-Smith are splitting after nearly 4 years of marriage. Jodie and Joshua tied the knot in 2019, one year after meeting at Usher’s 40th birthday party. It was the first marriage for both.

According to court documents, Turner-Smith, 37, filed for divorce from Jackson, 45, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakup, and listed their separation date as Sept. 13. Turner-Smith has requested joint custody for the couple’s 3-year-old daughter, and asked the court to terminate its ability to award spousal support to either party.

The news of the couple’s split comes shortly after their most recent public outing at the launch of Lotus’ new Emeya electric vehicle in New York City on Sept. 7.  They also celebrated Jodie’s birthday in Manhattan and were seen together at a J. Crew event for New York Fashion Week at Pier 17.

Aerosmith cancels rest of tour dates due to Steven Tyler’s vocal cord injury

Aerosmith has announced that the remainder of the North American leg of their Peace Out: The Farewell Tour has been canceled until 2024, due to frontman Steven Tyler’s ongoing recovery from vocal cord trauma. The 40-date “Peace Out” tour kicked off in Philadelphia on Sept. 3rd, and had the band scheduled to perform through early 2024, wrapping up in Montreal in January. Tyler’s injury initially occurred on the third show in New York on Sept. 10, with the band posting he had “sustained vocal cord damage” at the time, which “led to subsequent bleeding.” After the first postponement, the tour was set to resume on Oct. 11.

In a statement posted on social media, the band said: “To our fans: Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care. He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential. As a result, all the currently scheduled PEACE OUT shows must be postponed to sometime in 2024, with new dates to be announced as soon as we know more.”

The 75-year-old Tyler wrote: “I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can! – Love, Steven”

Previously bought tickets will still be valid for rescheduled dates; fans who are unable to attend the rescheduled tour dates will be eligible for refunds.

The Rolling Stones release the song ‘Sweet Sounds of Heaven’

The Rolling Stones have shared their latest single ‘Sweet Sounds Of Heaven’ featuring Lady Gaga and Stevie Wonder. ‘Sweet Sounds Of Heaven’ is the second track to be released from the Stones’ forthcoming LP ‘Hackney Diamonds‘, following the lead single ‘Angry‘. Paul McCartney and Elton John are also featured the album — McCartney plays bass on ‘Bite My Head Off’, and John plays piano on ‘Get Close’ and ‘Live By The Sword’.

Stones frontman Mick Jagger shared on Zane Lowe‘s Apple Music 1 show about ‘Sweet Sounds of Heaven’: “It’s all played live. And of course, we did overdubs, but it’s all played in the room. Yeah, there’s that moment, especially in that session where we had Stevie, and you’re feeling your way out a little bit and then you do that soul ending, which is you do sometimes on stage where you stop and you start.”

Jagger also spoke about working with Gaga: “She’s a really great singer and I’d never heard her sing quite that style before. Not exactly. We did it live in the room and that was a great experience, her just coming in the room and her just opening up and seeing her bits and feeling her way and then getting more confident.”

‘Hackney Diamonds’ marks the band’s first LP with original material in 18 year, as well as the Stones first album since the death of drummer Charlie Watts.  Hackney Diamonds is set for release on October 20.
