AC/DC are releasing their entire catalog on limited edition vinyl, in celebration of five decades as a band. The new reissues will be on gold vinyl with a special 50th anniversary logo.  The band posted on X: “We’re celebrating 50 years of rock and roll with the release of our entire catalog pressed on vibrant gold vinyl LPs. The first nine titles will be released March 15.”

The band’s first nine LPs are set for release on March 15; while Highway to Hell and Back In Black available now.

Last week, Linkin Park teased the track “Friendly Fire” and other previously unreleased songs that were recorded with the late Chester Bennington during 2017’s ‘One More Light’ sessions. Now, the band have revealed the details of a career-spanning greatest hits album, and shared ‘Friendly Fire’ in full. The band wrote on X: “Papercuts – Singles Collection (2000-2023) | Available April 12 | Pre-order now and stream “Friendly Fire” from the One More Light 2017 sessions. https://lprk.co/papercuts #FriendlyFireLP #Papercuts”

The greatest hits album, titled ‘Papercuts (Singles Collection 2000-2023)’, is a 20-song overview of the band’s best-selling tracks over the past two decades – including classics such as ‘In The End’, ‘Burn It Down’ and ‘Numb’. Set for release on April 12, the album will also features the track ‘Lost’ – a previously unreleased song which was included on the band’s ‘Meteora’ 20th anniversary collection.  Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda says of the upcoming album: “In the making of each Linkin Park album, I want to love and believe in each individual song completely. I hope that if any one track is heard on its own in the world, it is something I can feel proud of, and something that takes root inside the listener and becomes part of the energy that connects us. Curating the tracks for ‘Papercuts’ was a joy. Each song in this collection is both a singular moment on our timeline and an evolving story that is as much ours as it is yours. From our first release ‘One Step Closer’ to the brand-new ‘Friendly Fire,’ this tracklist spans all our chapters so far.”

Lead guitarist Brad Delson shares: “‘Friendly Fire’ was always one of our favorite songs from the One More Light sessions. Something about it wasn’t quite right so as close as it got to the finish line, we chose to set it aside for later. When we started looking for an unreleased track to include on our greatest hits collection, I was blown away by the power of the song, the power of the storytelling, the power of the vocal, the sonic landscape and I actually thought that it was closer than maybe we had realized at the time. We got together to work on it and connect some of the missing pieces that for whatever reason hadn’t revealed themselves during the recording of One More Light. I can’t wait for people to hear it. It’s such a beautiful, compelling, heartbreaking, hopeful story and it really resonates with me today.”

Nickelback’s feature-length documentary, titled Hate To Love: Nickelback will be hitting theaters worldwide for two nights only: March 27 and 30. Tickets are currently on sale now.

Directed by British filmmaker Leigh Brooks, the documentary made its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last September. The career-spanning film explores Nickelback’s rise to the top of the charts, as well as the backlash that has followed the Canadian band despite its overwhelming commercial success.

Hate To Love: Nickelback tells the story of Nickelback and “celebrates the loyalty of Nickelback fans and delves into the years of online vitriol.”  A press release from the band reads: “We are very excited to finally bring this film to theatres this spring. It’s been a long road to get this project across the finish line and we must thank [producer] Ben Jones and [director] Leigh Brooks for all of their hard work. We hope everyone enjoys our story – fans, friends or otherwise.”

Trafalgar Releasing will be distributing the feature-length presentation to over 1,350 locations across 30 countries. Kymberli Frueh of Trafalgar Releasing said via the press release: “Nickelback has been such an influence on our music culture throughout the years. We are thrilled to bring the story of their journey to stardom and the importance of their passionate fans’ support through the decades to cinemas worldwide.”

Deadline reports that the four members of The Beatles–Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and John Lennon–will get their own standalone biopic as part of series of movies from director Sam Mendes.

News of the first fully licensed Beatles films depicting the lives of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, John Lennon, and George Harrison was announced by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Neal Street Productions. A press release states that each of the four biopics will intersect as they chart “the astonishing story of the greatest band in history,” leading up to their split in 1970, adding that the release strategy will be “innovative and groundbreaking,” though no further details were provided. The movies are due for release in 2027.

British filmmaker Mendes won an Academy Award in 2000 for directing American Beauty, and has the films Skyfall and 1917 to his credit.  Mendes said of the biopics that he is “honored to be telling the story of the greatest rock band of all time, and excited to challenge the notion of what constitutes a trip to the movies.”

According to Deadline, this Beatles biopic series marks the first time that The Beatles and their company, Apple Corps Ltd., have granted full life story and music rights for any scripted films.

Sheryl Crow has shared the song ‘Do It Again’, the third track from her upcoming studio album, ‘Evolution’, which is due out on March 29. ‘Do It Again’ follows the previously released title track and the single ‘Alarm Clock’. Said Crow of the new single: “I feel like I’ve been writing this song for 30 years. To me, life is one long exploration in how to live joyfully. Work in progress.”

Crow will perform at The Piece Hall in Halifax on June 13, as part of the ‘Live At The Piece Hall’ series, as well as headline the Black Deer Festival on June 15. She will also perform at the Hampton Court Palace Festival in London, and Nocturne Live at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire supporting Crowded House.

Crow will also be out on the road in support of Chris Stapleton in Seattle on July 27 as part of his All-American Road Show Tour, as well as joining Zach Bryan for two opening gigs in Atlanta in August.

The 8th Annual Love Rocks NYC concert benefiting God’s Love We Deliver will be held on March 7th at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, and a promo video reveals that The Black Keys, Hozier, Nile Rodgers, Tom Morello, Joss Stone, Marcus King, Don Felder, Larkin Poe, Trombone Shorty and more will perform at the event. Serving as hosts will be Conan O’Brien, Tracy Morgan, and Jim Gaffigan.

‘Love Rocks NYC’ is a marquee annual music event that raises money and unites new and existing supporters for God’s Love We Deliver. The concert has become one of the premiere benefit concerts in the country each year, taking place at the historic Beacon Theatre.
