The actor’s publicist Heidi Schaeffer told PEOPLE that Garr died on Tuesday in Los Angeles, “surrounded by family and friends.”

Garr first revealed her MS diagnosis in a 2002 interview with Larry King on CNN, sharing that she had been secretly battling multiple sclerosis since the 1980s. After starting her career as a dancer, Garr’s acting career took off after her breakout role in Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein (1974). She also had memorable roles in Carl Reiner’s Oh, God! Metallica donates $100K to Hurricane Milton relief efforts

Metallica has donated $100,000 in support of those affected by Hurricane Helene through their All Within My Hands charity foundation.

Metallica have sent $50,000 to World Central Kitchen (which is providing hot meals to those in need) and the Information Technology Disaster Resource Center (ITDRC) to assist with strained food bank operations and swift restoration of essential technology and communications infrastructure that was destroyed when Milton plowed through Siesta Key, Florida, as well as $50,000 to Team Rubicon, which is helping to clear debris.

The band shared in a statement: “Hurricane Helene made landfall on Thursday, September 26, and has since hit several communities across a 500-mile stretch, leaving in its wake a path of destruction throughout Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. It is now the third-deadliest storm to hit the US this century, with over 215 lives lost and hundreds of people still unaccounted for. It is an unmitigated tragedy. Historic water levels and widespread flooding across the Appalachians have left hundreds of roads inaccessible, hindering rescue efforts.”

Metallica will also be holding its annual Helping Hands Concert & Auction on December 13.  This year’s event, hosted again by Jimmy Kimmel, will mark the return of the Helping Hands Concert & Auction to LA; the previous Helping Hands show in December 2022 raised approximately $3 million, 100% of which went directly to All Within My Hands’ efforts supporting workforce education, the fight against hunger, disaster relief and other critical local services

Gisele Bündchen expecting third child, first baby with boyfriend Joaquim Valente

Gisele Bündchen, 44, and boyfriend Joaquim Valente, 35, are expecting their first baby together, and her third child. Bündchen shares son Benjamin Rein, 14, and daughter Vivian Lake, 11, with her ex-husband. Tom Brady.

Sources told PEOPLE in a statement: “Gisele and Joaquim are happy for this new chapter in their life and they’re looking forward to creating a peaceful and loving environment for the whole family.”

Bündchen has been dating Valente, a Jiu-Jitsu instructor, since June 2023.The duo worked together in 2021 on a photo shoot for Dust magazine, and Valente went on to become Bündchen’s jiu-jitsu instructor. Bündchen and Brady announced their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.

While the two met platonically while Bündchen was still married to Brady, the supermodel has repeatedly denied rumors that she cheated on Brady, or was romantically involved with Valente during the course of her former marriage. Bündchen told The New York Times in March: “That is a lie. This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful. They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.”
