Bullet for My Valentine, Trivium to launch co-headlining 2025 North America tour

Bullet for My Valentine and Trivium have announced their 2025 co-headlining North American “The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour.”  The tour will see both bands celebrating landmark albums: Bullet for My Valentine’s The Poison, and Trivium’s Ascendancy, which will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025. Each album will be performed in their entirety on this tour.

BFMV shared in a joint statement: “We are super excited to announce we are coming back to the USA in 2025 with our friends Trivium, to bring you the Poisoned Ascendancy Tour. We’re going to be celebrating 20 years of our debut album ‘The Poison’ and Trivium’s ‘Ascendancy’. It’s the metal tour of 2025, so don’t miss out.”

Trivium added: “This is a celebration for the old fans that were there at 9 a.m. at Ozzfest to catch a couple songs from a band in Iron Maiden shirts. Having August Burns Red, Bleed From Within and Sylosis joining us only makes this more special. We can’t wait to play Ascendancy for you!”

The 26-city tour kicks off on March 30th at PNE Forum in Vancouver, B.C., making stops across North America in Las Vegas, Chicago, New York and more before wrapping up in Raleigh, NC at Red Hat Amphitheater on May 18th. August Burns Red will play in support across all dates, while Sylosis and Bleed From Within will open select shows.

See Sebastian Stan portray Donald Trump in first trailer for ‘The Apprentice’

The first full-length trailer for the new film The Apprentice was released, starring Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump.

The Apprentice explores Trump’s early career in real estate in New York in the 1970s and 1980s, and examines his relationship with attorney Roy Cohn (Jeremy Strong). An official synopsis for the film: “A young Donald Trump, eager to make his name as a hungry scion of a wealthy family in 1970s New York, comes under the spell of Roy Cohn, the cutthroat attorney who would help create the Donald Trump we know today.  Cohn sees in Trump the perfect protégé—someone with raw ambition, a hunger for success, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to win.”

The studio previously shared a teaser for the film, written by Gabriel Sherman and directed by Ali Abbasi, which shows Trump (Stan) takes a phone interview in a car as Cohn (Strong) coaches him.  Trump tells the reporter: “I intend to acquire the Commodore, and I’m planning on making it the best and the finest building in the city, maybe the country — in the world … it’s going to be the finest building in the world.”

The Apprentice, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, opens in theaters Oct. 11.  See the trailer: HERE.

Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus to release new memoir ‘Fahrenheit-182’

Blink-182 singer-bassist and co-founding member Mark Hoppus will release his new memoir Fahrenheit-182, co-written with ‘Sellout’ author Dan Ozzi. Hoppus had previously announced Fahrenheit-182 back in 2022, saying he was “excited” to tell his story after battling cancer.

Hoppus announced the memoir in a tongue-in-cheek, infomercial-style video, and promises the memoir will ‘get into skateboarding, ’90s music, and band breakups, as well as his diagnosis with cancer, which he’s since treated with chemotherapy.’  Hoppus shares:  “I wrote a book! And it’s terrific. This is a story of what happens when an angst-ridden kid who grew up in the desert experiences his parents’ bitter divorce, moves around the country, switches identities from dork to goth to skate punk, and eventually meets his best friend who just so happens to be his musical soulmate  Threaded through with the very human story of a constant battle with anxiety and Mark’s public battle and triumph over cancer, Fahrenheit-182 is a delight for fans and also a funny, smart, and relatable memoir for anyone who has wanted to quit but kept going.”

The band released their full-length project ONE MORE TIME… (available here) in 2023, and recently dropped ONE MORE TIME… PART-2 (available here), a deluxe edition featuring additional bonus tracks.

Fahrenheit-182 hits shelves on April 8, 2025. To preorder, head here.

Imagine Dragons to conclude ‘Loom World Tour’ with LA Film Orchestra

Imagine Dragons will conclude the North American leg of their Loom World Tour with a one-night-only performance featuring the LA Film Orchestra on October 27, as well as special arrangements from legendary game composer Inon Zur.

The special performance will bring music from Imagine Dragons sixth studio album LOOM to life in a never-before-heard show. Imagine Dragons – in collaboration with Bethesda Game Studios – will also perform their hit “Children of the Sky (A Starfield Song)” for the very first time live.  That song will be transmitted back to Earth from the surface of the Moon as part of Lonestar’s Freedom Mission flying with Intuitive Machines to the South Lunar Pole in early 2025.

Chris Stott, Founder and CEO, Lonestar, shares: “With Starfield and Imagine Dragons you’re taking part in the space program.”  Ryan Micheletti, an investor in Lonestar through The Veteran Fund, added: “Our goal is to inspire the next generation of kids to be excited about the future of space and technology, which is why we chose ‘Children of the Sky’ as the first song in history to be broadcast from the Moon.”

Imagine Dragons said in a statement: “Humanity’s deepest origins come from space, and it is where we will inevitably return as a space-faring species one day. We are all, truly, children of the sky.”

The group’s North American run of dates makes it way coast-to-coast, including back-to-back nights at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage, three shows at Salt Lake City’s Utah First Credit Union Amphitheatre, and a four-night run at LA’s iconic Hollywood Bowl before wrapping up in October.
