John Krasinski named People Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’

John Krasinski has been named People Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’.

Stephen Colbert announced on The Late Show that Krasinski had won the 2024 honor: “I don’t have to tell you that this country is currently in the midst of a massive transfer of power to the new People’s Sexiest Man Alive. I mean look at him. I get it, plus we’re friends. I’m so proud to see my friend go from goofy, lovable boy next door to big dumb sex hunk. I wish I could do the same.”

Krasinski jokingly replied: “I heard the news and I had to come as soon as I could because I know how bad you wanted to be People’s Sexiest Man Alive. And so I just came to see if you were okay.”

Krasinski, 45, told People his immediate reaction to the honor was “just immediate blackout, actually. Zero thoughts,” adding that he thought he might be getting pranked. After rising to fame as Jim on “The Office”, Krasinski went on to star on Amazon’s “Jack Ryan,” and also co-wrote, directed and starred in “A Quiet Place,” which has grown into a three-film franchise.Krasinski is married to actress Emily Blunt, and the couple shares two daughters. People Magazine’s ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ issue drops this Friday.

Foreigner have extended their farewell tour, with the band planning to feature classic members at select shows, including original lead singer Lou Gramm.

The dates start with a previously announced Las Vegas residency at The Venetian. Classic members Rick Wills and Al Greenwood will sit in with the band during the entire residency. Foreigner then has dates scheduled throughout 2025, beginning March 13th in Hollywood, Florida, and wrapping up with a two-night stand October 10th and 11th in Atlantic City, New Jersey. A press release states, “Discussions are in hand to include Lou Gramm as Foreigner moves toward its 50th anniversary in 2026.”  Gramm exited Foreigner in 2003, but joined them for select shows in 2017 and 2018. Kelly Hansen has been the band’s frontman since 2005, with no classic members in the current touring lineup. Founding guitarist Mick Jones is still an official member of Foreigner but no longer tours with the band due to his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease. Gramm, who has toured with his solo band in recent years, had previously stated he was retiring from touring at the end of this year.

Slaughter to Prevail drops new song ‘Behelit’

Slaughter to Prevail have dropped their new single “Behelit,” which is accompanied by a video with animation from the acclaimed Manga series Beserk.

Says frontman Alex Terrible: “I don’t usually watch anime, it’s not for me, but Berserk is different,” Terrible commented. “Guts, the main character, he is not like any other warrior. His determination to become the strongest fighter — this is something to respect. But what really gets to me is how he is shown — ruthless, unstoppable, yet with some hidden vulnerability, like you never know what he will do next. Guts is not just fighting enemies; he is battling demons from another world, trying to save humanity from things beyond understanding. What’s interesting is, he doesn’t think of himself as a hero — many times, it seems like he even hates the responsibility of protecting others. But still, his honor makes him continue, driven by something much deeper than just glory. His huge sword is like a symbol of his strength — it’s almost like a metaphor for life. We all have our burdens to carry, and it’s on us to deal with them the best way we can.

He added: “Actually, my Kid of Darkness character, I take a lot from Guts. There is something very strong, very real in how Guts fights, and I want to show this. Kid of Darkness, it is not only about being brutal — it is about fight inside, like you carry heavy things you never ask for, but still you face them. Guts, he never gives up, even when everything around him is bad, this is what I feel close to. This way of thinking, it is what I try to do in my life, onstage and not onstage, too.”

“Behelit” is Slaughter to Prevail’s third single of 2024, following up “K.O.D.” and “Conflict”. Terrible has also made solo appearances alongside Tech N9ne and Ronnie Radke on Falling in Reverse’s viral smash “Ronald.”
