Dorothy announces new album, shares video for “Tombstone Town” ft. Slash

Dorothy has announced details of her new album, The Way, set for release on March 14th; and has also shared the video for the album’s new single, “Tombstone Town” featuring legendary Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash. The Way serves as the follow-up to Dorothy’s 2022 album, Gifts From the Holy Ghost.

“Tombstone Town” follows Dorothy’s previously-released singles — “I Come Alive,” “The Devil I Know,” and “MUD” — all of which appear on the the 10-song tracklist to The Way. Dorothy shares: “‘Tombstone Town’ is a sexy boot-stomper about betrayal, revenge, and mercy.  I’m so honored to have Slash join me on the song, which is an excerpt from my diary — born out of betrayal and heartache. The music video has a plot twist at the end, but ultimately, I wanted to send a message of forgiveness and resilience, rather than revenge. Writing this song was therapy for me.”  Added Slash: “‘Tombstone Town’ is a sexy rock ‘n’ roll grind, featuring Dorothy’s inimitable swagger and a killer guitar hook.”

As for the new album, Dorothy said: “This album is a love letter to the fans. I’m letting them know everything is going to be okay, and we”ll help each other find the way — even if we get lost at times.”

Dorothy also has a handful of US shows scheduled for the spring, including appearances on Creed’s Summer of ’99 cruise and at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Motörhead launch celebration of 50th anniversary with special events, new vinyl reissues

Motörhead will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025, and in honor of this historic milestone they plan to drop vinyl reissues of their seminal albums, along with special events taking place throughout the year.

Special half-speed mastered vinyl re-pressings of Overkill, Bomber, and Ace of Spades are due out February 28th, with these limited editions each come on striking colored wax with an exclusive poster. The remainder of the 50th anniversary campaign will take place throughout 2025 and includes events honoring the late Lemmy Kilmister, as well as other content celebrating Motörhead’s enduring legacy — including a just-released HD clip of the band performing its classic cover of “Louie, Louie” on BBC’s Top of the Pops in 1978.

Later this year, on May 8th (“The Eighth of May”) — International Motörhead Day — a special ceremony will take place for the unveiling of a Lemmy statue in his birthplace of Stoke-on-Trent. Guitarist Phil Campbell will be in attendance to lead the festivities and place Lemmy’s ashes at the statue.

Campbell in a press release: “It’s incredible to know that our music, and all it stands for, continues to resonate with so many people. Of course we’re enormously grateful to still be appreciated like we are, and truthfully, the music remains as vital and important as ever because there’s a unique energy and honesty to it that we will all always need.”

Added drummer Mikkey Dee: “It’s a remarkable story, the connection we have with our fans can only be described as family and it’s so exciting to see the family still growing. But it also makes sense, because people know who we are and what the music is about. Motörhead has always stood for doing it OUR way, it’s timeless, and continues to inspire people to take that path.”

Pre-order the new vinyl editions via the band’s online store.
