Foo Fighters set dates for 2026 Stadium Tour, share new single “Asking for a Friend”

Foo Fighters have revealed dates for their 2026 stadium tour of North America, taking place across the United States and Canada in August/September. The tour will mark the band’s first major run since 2024’s Everything or Nothing at All Tour.

Frontman Dave Grohl said in a statement: “Since our return to the stage in San Luis Obispo five weeks ago, we have been reminded of why we love and are forever devoted to doing this Foo Fighters thing From reuniting as a band and staring at a list of 30 years worth of songs to brush off, to reimagining versions with the incredible blessing of the one and only Ilan Rubin behind the drums, to reconnecting with our amazing fans and blasting them with everything we’ve got (no matter the size of the venue) because we would not be here without them, we have the most solid core. And the sun is finally rising over the horizon.”

The 12 new dates will kick off on August 4 at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, Ontario, making stops in major cities including Ford Field in Detroit; Soldier Field in Chicago; Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia; Nationals Park in Washington, DC; BC Place in Vancouver; and Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.  New dates/cities are expected to be added in the coming weeks.  Queens of the Stone Age will serve as direct support on all dates (except for the show on September 12th in Fargo), with punk-rock bands Mannequin Pussy and Gouge Away also appearing at select dates. See the new trailer for ‘The Housemaid’ starring Amanda Seyfried, Sydney Sweeney

The latest trailer for the screen adaptation of Frieda McFadden’s best-selling book The Housemaid has been released, directed by Paul Feig and starring Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney.

An official film synopsis states that “the film plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems  Trying to escape her past, Millie (Sweeney) accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous — a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. Behind the Winchesters’ closed doors lies a world of shocking twists that will leave you guessing until the very end.” Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone and Elizabeth Perkins round out the cast for the film.

The new trailer shows Seyfried’s Nina crying and yelling as she searches for missing PTA notes, which she blames Sweeney’s Millie for losing; and as the trailer continues, Nina’s mental state only worsens. as she continues to torment Millie.

2026 Golden Globes: ‘One Battle After Another’ and ‘White Lotus’ leads the nominations

The 2026 Golden Globe nominations, which honor both movies and television, were announced on Monday. Marlon Wayans and “Matlock” star Skye P. Marshall unveiled the nominees live from the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.

Paul Thomas Anderson’s political drama One Battle After Another leads the film nominations with nine nods (including Best Drama & acting nods for Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Chase Infiniti, Benicio Del Toro, and Sean Penn); followed by Sentimental Value (8) and Sinners (7).  Other top film nominees include Hamnet (6), and Frankenstein and Wicked: For Good, with 5 nominations each.

In television, HBO’s The White Lotus dominated with six nominations (including Best Drama Series, and acting nods for Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Aimee Lou Wood, Walton Goggins, and Jason Isaacs), while the limited Netflix series Adolescence received five nominations, and Only Murders in the Building and Severance earned 4 nods each.

For the first this year, the Golden Globes are introducing the ‘Best Podcast’ category, with this year’s nominees including: “Call Her Daddy,” “Good Hang With Amy Poehler,” “Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard,” “The Mel Robbins Podcast,” “Smartness,” and “Up First.”

The 83rd Annual Golden Globes, hosted again by comedian Nikki Glaser, will air January 11, 2026 on CBS and stream on Paramount+.

Static-X share bonus track ‘Down’ from 25th anniversary box set edition of ‘Wisconsin Death Trip’

Static-X will release a 25th anniversary edition of their debut project Wisconsin Death Trip, available on December 12th. Released in 1999, Wisconsin Death Trip featured the iconic lineup of Wayne Static, Koichi Fukuda, Tony Campos, and Ken Jay and featured the hit songs “Push It,” “ I’m With Stupid,” and “Bled For Days.”

In anticipation of the new box set, the band have shared the visualizer for the bonus track ‘Down,’ which features never-before-seen images by original band photographer Exum, and actual video filmed on the set of the 1998 photoshoot.  The band shares: “We’ve always known there were gems buried in the Wisconsin Death Trip archives, but seeing Exum’s images come to life in this new visualizer feels like stepping back into 1998. ‘Down’ was a track we always loved and giving it this new visual energy is our way of celebrating Wayne, the album, and the fans who have kept this music alive for 25 years.”  

The band reunited with the original producer Ulrich Wild for the remastered Wisconsin Death Trip (25th Anniversary Corrosive Edition) and is comprised of two handmade, orange and black eclipse vinyl with remastered versions of the original album audio, presented in a comprehensive box set, filled with bonus tracks and never-before-seen artwork; as well as a second disc of demos, alternate versions, and rare tracks.

The band’s Wisconsin Death Trip lineup of Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, & Ken Jay – in addition to current vocalist/guitarist Xer0 – will be on the road throughout 2025. In addition to their previous festival appearances at Louder Than Life and Aftershock, the band will serve as support for Mudvayne on their headlining tour in addition to performing their own headlining shows.

Limited edition deluxe versions of Wisconsin Death Trip include signed prints, laser engraved ID tag, ID bracelet with QR code linking to the full 8mm BTS video footage of the Wisconsin Death Trip photo shoot, pill bottle, stickers and more and is only available at www.static-x.com.

KISS releases ‘Dressed to Kill’ 50th anniversary box set

Kiss is marking the 50th anniversary of Dressed to Kill with an expansive super deluxe box set.

The collection includes 107 tracks—78 of which have never been released—spread across five CDs, eight LPs, and a Blu-ray Audio Disc. The album’s original 1975 recordings have been newly remastered by Bernie Grundman using the original stereo analog tapes. A second disc offers 23 demos, alternate versions, and instrumental takes from sessions at Larrabee Sound and Electric Lady Studios. Among the highlights are two previously unheard songs, “Mistake” and “Burning Up With Fever.”

Fans will also get to experience two complete live shows from the 1975 Dressed to Kill Tour: one recorded at Cobo Arena in Detroit, Michigan, on May 16, and another from the RKO Orpheum Theatre in Davenport, Iowa, on July 20. Both concerts have been freshly mixed by renowned producer and engineer Eddie Kramer using the original multi-track analog recordings.

The Blu-ray Audio disc features a new mix of Dressed to Kill by David Frangioni, presented in Dolby Atmos and 5.1 Surround Sound.

A special picture disc edition rounds out the release, packaged in a foil-wrapped premium jacket accented with gold 50th-anniversary details, spot-gloss Kiss logos, and a double-sided poster. Limited to just 1,000 copies worldwide, each LP will feature a unique number and will be sold exclusively through the official Kiss online store.

Chelsea Handler returning to host 2026 Critics Choice Awards

Chelsea Handler will once again serve as host of the 2026 Critics Choice Awards, airing live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif on Jan. 4, 2026 – marking Handler’s fourth consecutive year as host.

Handler said in a statement: “Kicking off the year with the Critics Choice Awards feels right.  Nothing says ‘new beginnings’ like a room full of critics ready to tell you how you did last year.”

CCA CEO Joey Berlin added, “Chelsea Handler is the best awards show host in the world. We are absolutely thrilled to have her back on our stage, mixing her trademark mix of humor and heart in front of hundreds of stars who enjoy her as much as we do. Recognizing and celebrating the most deserving achievements in film and television is important, but it’s also great fun and Chelsea is the perfect person to lead the parade.”

The Critics Choice Awards has added four new categories to this year’s celebration of critics’ picks for the best in film and TV: best variety series, stunt design, casting/ensemble and sound.

Top nominees this year include the Ryan Coogler film ‘Sinners’ with 17 nominations, as well as the Netflix limited series ‘Adolescence’ leading television nominees with 6 nods.

Other top film nominees include ‘One Battle After Another’ with 14 nominations, ‘Hamnet’ and ‘Frankenstein’ with 11 nods each; ‘Marty Supreme’ with 8 noms; and ‘F1,’ ‘Sentimental Value,’ and ‘Wicked: For Good’ with 7 nominations apiece.

‘Adolescence’ secured nominations for Best Limited Series, as well as acting nominations for Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, Ashley Walters, Erin Doherty, and Christine Tremarco. Other leading TV nominees include ‘Nobody Wants This’ with 5 nominations, in addition to ‘All Her Fault,’ ‘Death by Lightning,’ ‘Ghosts,’ ‘Hacks,’ ‘Severance,’ ‘The Diplomat,’ and ‘The Pitt’ each with 4 nominations

HBO drops ‘The Pitt’ Season 2 teaser trailer

Noah Wyle is back in the teaser trailer for Season 2 of The Pitt. 

HBO Max released the first official teaser for the medical drama series, which stars Wyle as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch. This new season picks up after a time jump, with the trailer finds Dr. Frank Langdon (Patrick Ball) in his first day back at work after returning from rehab. We also see Dr. Robby arriving for his shift at the hospital.

According to its official logline, The Pitt – from creator R. Scott Gemmill and producer John Wells – “chronicles the urgent challenges U.S. frontline healthcare professionals face through the lens of the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center’s emergency department. Offering a real-time format, the series traces, hour-by-hour, the medical cases and personal crises physicians and nurses must navigate as they reckon with an overabundance of patients and a lack of resources.”  The series is  “a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the frontline heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh.”

The cast of season 2 also includes Sepideh Moafi as Dr. Al-Hashimi, Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Mohan, Fiona Dourif as Dr. McKay, Taylor Dearden as Dr. King, Isa Briones as Dr. Santos, Gerran Howell as Dennis Whitaker, Shabana Azeez as Victoria Javadi and Katherine LaNasa as Dana Evans.

Guns N’ Roses share two new songs “Nothin’” and “Atlas”

Guns N’ Roses have officially released two new singles — “Nothin’” and “Atlas” — marking their first releases since 2023.   The band have Guns N’ Roses have been releasing new material in recent years, in conjunction with their sold-out tours across the globe, including 2023’s “The General” and “Perhaps.”

On December 12th, “Nothin’” and “Atlas” will be available for pre-order on 7-inch vinyl, a Guns N’ Roses store exclusive cassette, and a Japan exclusive SHM-CD.  Head HERE for details.

The band recently announced their 2026 world tour across Europe and North America next spring/summer. GN’R recently completed a run of shows across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America earlier this year.

The 2026 dates kick off in Mexico on March 28 and continue through April with nine huge shows in Brazil. The band will make two stops in Florida in May, before a series of European shows in June/July as well as a previously announced slot at the UK’s Download Festival. After stops in the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Belgium, the band returns to North American with a show in North Carolina on July 23, with dates through September 19 in Georgia.

In addition, GN’R will co-headline the ‘Welcome to Rockville’ festival in May alongside Foo Fighters, Bring Me The Horizon, and My Chemical Romance. Other confirmed festival appearances include Monsters of Rock (Brazil) and Tecate Pa’l Norte (Mexico). Head to Ticketmaster for details.

Megadeth announce ‘Behind The Mask’ global cinematic event

Megadeth have announced the global cinematic event, Megadeth: Behind The Mask, which will premiere in more than 1,000 cinemas across over 35 countries on Thursday January 22, 2026. The one-night-only screening premieres one day prior to the release of the band’s self-titled final studio album, due out January 23rd.

Megadeth: Behind The Mask “pulls back the curtain on 40 years of Megadeth, sharing untold stories from the band’s past and the creative fire that still drives them. Woven through the film is the world premiere of the new self-titled album, played in full, with Mustaine offering track-by-track reflections on what will be the band’s last studio statement. The result is an immersive celebration of one of the most influential bands in Metal history and a powerful closing chapter to a four-decade career.”

Frontman Dave Mustaine shares: “This listening event is going to be amazing. I can’t wait to share it with thousands of my closest friends around the world. I have so much gratitude for everyone who helped bring this film to life, especially you, the fans! Now let’s fire this up… and pass the popcorn!”

Megadeth also recently announced they will host an exclusive, all-day ‘ultimate immersive listening event’ in celebration of their upcoming self-titled studio album. The one-day event, taking place just outside of Nashville in La Vergne, TN, on Saturday, January 17, 2026, will allow fans to ‘get closer to the band, the music, the stories, and the legacy than ever before.’

The experience will give attendees a chance to listen to the new album early, witness a Megadeth acoustic performance, attend a Megadeth Master Class where the band breaks down legendary riffs, songwriting, tones, and techniques—right from the stage, a band Q&A, Guitar Talk with Dave Mustaine and Gibson CEO César Gueikian where they will share special news, photo op with the band, catered dinner with Megadeth beer and House of Mustaine wine, immersive photo op experiences, autographed album-art poster, exclusive merch, and more. Luke Wilson joins Will Ferrell in new untitled golf comedy series for Netflix

Will Ferrell will reunite with Luke Wilson in his first scripted TV comedy series for Netflix, which also stars Molly Shannon, Chris Parnell, and Ramy Youssef.

Netflix announced that the as-of-yet unnamed series will star Ferrell and Wilson as fictional rival golf legends. Parnell will play Anton, a PGA Tour board member, and Shannon will play a character named Stacy. Details on Youssef’s role are being kept under wraps.

The streaming service picked-up 10 episodes of the series, co-created by Ferrell, Youssef  and Josh Rabinowitz, with the cast also featuring Fortune Feimster, Katelyn Tarver, Jimmy Tatro and David Hornsby.

Ferrell also serves as executive producer alongside Jessica Elbaum and Alix Taylor as part of Gloria Sanchez Productions; Rian Johnson, Ram Bergman and Nina Rodrigue for T-Street; and Chris Henchy, Harper Steele, David Gordon Green and Andrew Guest.

Ferrell and Wilson previously appeared together in the movies Old School and The Wendell Baker Story.  A release date for the series has not been announced.
