The Warning and Carín León join forces for genre-blending single “Love To Be Loved”

The Warning have teamed up with regional Mexican star Carín León for a new collaborative track, “Love To Be Loved.” The song is also being issued as a limited-edition 7-inch.

The sister-trio co-wrote the single with Teddy Swims, along with Rob Grimaldi, Anton DeLost, Boy Matthews, and Neil Ormandy. Grimaldi and DeLost also handled production. The song also marks León’s first collaboration performed entirely in English.

The Warning shares: “We are so excited about this song. As a rock band, this is something completely different for us and a chance to explore new sounds. Originally co-written with Teddy Swims, the song naturally blends country, rock, and pop in a way that felt fresh and inspiring from the start. Blending musical worlds is always exciting, and working with our fellow Mexican artist Carín León made the experience even more special. It’s a collaboration that pushed us creatively and shows a new side of The Warning.”

León, who recently earned a Grammy Award, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “I’m truly happy and excited about this collaboration with these amazing artists, The Warning, a band I deeply admire that reaffirms to me that Mexican music and Mexican rock are far from dead—they’re more present and stronger than ever. I’m also really grateful to collaborate alongside artists with such important projects for Mexican music and culture, and to be able to release this great song together. I truly hope people connect with it, appreciate it, and carry it in their hearts for a long time.”

The cinematic music video places León and the band inside a worn-in dive bar, surrounded by card games, pool tables, and slot machines. Though luck seems to be on their side, the storyline hints that what they’re truly after isn’t winnings—but connection. The clip builds to a lively karaoke-style performance that unites the room.

See the trailer for upcoming Michael Jackson biopic ‘Michael’

Lionsgate has unveiled an early preview of Michael, the upcoming biographical film chronicling the rise of the King of Pop, set to hit theaters on April 24.

Michael Jackson is played by his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, with Colman Domingo portraying his father, Joe Jackson. The newly released trailer centers on a young Michael striving to step out from the shadow of the Jackson 5 and establish himself as a solo artist. In one pivotal moment, he declares, “I love my family, but I just wanna do my own thing,” later adding, “Just have all these ideas in my head. Just got to get them out.”

The film blends Jackson’s personal life with recreations of landmark performances from the early years of his solo career. As the official synopsis explains, Highlighting both his life off-stage and some of the most iconic performances from his early solo career, this film gives audiences a front-row seat to Michael Jackson as never before. This is where his story begins.”

Directed by Antoine Fuqua, Michael is produced by Graham King alongside John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate. A recently shared image shows Jaafar Jackson recreating a performance of “Man in the Mirror” during the Dangerous Tour of the early 1990s. The film aims to present what the filmmakers describe as “a riveting and honest portrayal” of Jackson’s life and legacy. King praised the lead actor’s performance, saying, “With Jaafar, every look, every note, every dance move is Michael. He embodies Michael in a way that no other actor could.”

The ensemble cast is rounded out by Nia Long as Katherine Jackson, Miles Teller as longtime attorney John Branca, and Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi, and others in key roles. Additional casting announcements include Larenz Tate as Motown founder Berry Gordy, Kendrick Sampson as Quincy Jones, Kat Graham as Diana Ross, Liv Symone as Gladys Knight, and Jessica Sula as La Toya Jackson. Supporting roles feature KeiLyn Durrel Jones as Jackson 5 security chief Bill Bray and Kevin Shinick as television icon Dick Clark.

Michael Jackson’s eldest son, Prince Jackson, is also involved with the production, representing the family alongside his siblings. According to the producers, the expanded cast adds depth and context to the story of an artist whose influence reshaped popular music before his death in 2009 at age 50.

‘The Pitt’ renewed for Season 3 on HBO Max

HBO has officially ordered a third season of its acclaimed hospital drama The Pitt. The renewal was revealed by HBO and HBO Max chairman and CEO Casey Bloys during the season two premiere event in Los Angeles, shortly before the debut of Season 2, currently airing.

Created by R. Scott Gemmill, the series centers on a team of medical professionals navigating high-pressure cases inside a Pittsburgh hospital. Noah Wyle leads the cast as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, alongside Patrick Ball (Dr. Langdon), Katherine LaNasa (Dana Evans), Supriya Ganesh (Dr. Mohan), Fiona Dourif (Dr. McKay), Taylor Dearden (Dr. King), Isa Briones (Dr. Santos), Gerran Howell (Whitaker), Shabana Azeez (Javadi) and Sepideh Moafi (Dr. Al-Hashimi).

Season two is unfolding 10 months after the intense events of the first installment, spanning the July 4 weekend. Following a breakdown near the end of season one, Robby begins confronting his own trauma, setting the stage for what Gemmill has described as a broader “journey of healing.” The new episodes also address the fallout from last season’s mass shooting and examine real-world pressures on hospitals, including staffing cuts and funding challenges. Despite earlier turmoil in the emergency department, both Dana and Dr. Langdon return.

“The Pitt is a realistic examination of the challenges facing healthcare workers in today’s America as seen through the lens of the front-line heroes working in a modern-day hospital in Pittsburgh,” the network said in a synopsis.

Praised for its authentic depiction of modern medicine and frontline workers, the show has earned major accolades, including Best Drama Series at the Critics’ Choice Awards, multiple Emmy wins — among them outstanding drama, lead actor for Wyle and supporting actress for LaNasa — and several SAG Award nominations.

Season two also features a slate of recurring and guest performers, including Rusty Schwimmer, Jayne Taini, Annabelle Toomey, Lawrence Robinson, Brittany Allen, Bonita Friedericy, Taylor Handley, Jeff Kober, Charles Baker, Irene Choi, Laëtitia Hollard, Lucas Iverson, Zack Morris, Meta Golding, Luke Tennie, Christopher Thornton and Travis Van Winkle.

Sebastian Bach joining Twisted Sister on select fall concert dates

After health concerns forced Dee Snider to step away from Twisted Sister, the band has found a temporary replacement to help mark its 50th anniversary. Guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda confirmed that former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach will handle vocals for a limited number of shows this fall.

The group had originally planned a reunion tour beginning April 25 in São Paulo, Brazil, but scrapped the run in February following Snider’s departure. In a statement, the band cited “degenerative arthritis” and additional heart-related strain, explaining that decades of high-energy performances had taken a serious toll on the 70-year-old singer.

Now, with Snider’s blessing, Bach will step in for select appearances. In announcing the news, the band shared: “Twisted Sister members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda are thrilled to announce that iconic vocalist and frontman Sebastian Bach will be fronting the band for a handful of select dates this fall. These appearances do not affect or conflict with Sebastian’s current and future solo touring schedule, which remains fully intact.”

While exact dates have yet to be revealed, the shows will offer fans a chance to celebrate the milestone anniversary despite the canceled full tour. The lineup will also feature Joey Cassata on drums, as former drummer Joe “Seven” Franco is unavailable, with Russell Pzütto on bass.

HBO Max, Paramount+ to combine into one streaming platform with merger

The proposed merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery will have subscribers to Paramount+ and HBO Max seeing those platforms merge into a single direct-to-consumer service.

Paramount CEO David Ellison outlined the plan during a Monday investor call, saying, “As we said, we do plan to put the two services together, which today gives us a little over 200 million direct to consumer subscribers.” He added that the combined scale would strengthen the company’s ability to compete with dominant streaming rivals.

Ellison noted that Paramount is already consolidating Paramount+, Pluto TV and BET+ onto one shared technology platform, with completion expected by mid-2026. He indicated the same strategy would likely apply to HBO Max if the deal closes, emphasizing that expanded content and improved tech capabilities would help the company rival the industry’s largest players.

While the platforms may combine, Ellison stressed that the HBO brand itself would retain creative autonomy under CEO Casey Bloys, whose contract runs through 2027. “Casey and his team do absolutely a remarkable job at HBO,” Ellison said. “Our viewpoint is HBO should stay HBO. They built a phenomenal brand. They are a leader in the space, and we just want them to continue doing more of it. But by bringing the platforms together, all of our content will be able to reach even a broader audience than we can do standalone.” Details about pricing, branding or whether HBO Max would function as a standalone section within the new service have not yet been disclosed.

The merger follows a competitive bidding process. Netflix had previously pursued Warner Bros. Discovery’s assets, but ultimately stepped aside after Paramount increased its offer. Warner Bros. Discovery’s board deemed Paramount’s proposal the superior bid, clearing the path for the planned combination — pending regulatory review.

If approved, the unified platform would immediately rank among the largest streaming services globally, with more than 200 million subscribers, positioning Paramount and HBO to compete more directly with streaming heavyweights.

See the trailer for Netflix’s ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’

The next chapter of ‘Peaky Blinders’ is officially headed to the big screen. The feature film, titled Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, will arrive in select theaters on March 6, 2026, before launching worldwide on Netflix on March 20.

A social post announced: “Academy Award winner Cillian Murphy returns as the legendary gypsy gangster Tommy Shelby in ‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man.’ In select theaters March 6 and on Netflix March 20.”

Directed by Tom Harper and written by series creator Steven Knight, the film continues the story following the show’s 2022 finale. Set in Birmingham in 1940 during World War II, the movie brings Tommy Shelby back from self-imposed exile for what’s described as an “epic continuation” of the saga. The official synopsis states: “Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons, and choose whether to confront his legacy, or burn it to the ground.”

Murphy reprises his BAFTA-winning role after portraying Tommy from 2013 to 2022. Joining him are Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham and Jay Lycurgo, along with returning cast members Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee and Ian Peck.

A newly released trailer shows Tommy returning home to find his son overseeing the remnants of his former criminal empire, alongside younger men who appear unfamiliar with the Shelby legacy. A teaser poster features Murphy’s bloodied Tommy on horseback, partially hidden beneath his signature cap against a misty backdrop.

The original Peaky Blinders debuted on BBC Two in 2013 before expanding globally via Netflix. The drama later moved to BBC One and earned a BAFTA for Best Drama Series. The story initially spanned 1919 to 1933.

Looking ahead, two additional six-episode sequel series have been ordered by Netflix and the BBC, set to begin in 1953 and follow the events of the film. Knight and Murphy will serve as executive producers.  In addition, the film’s soundtrack is also rolling out, with the single “Puppet” available now and the full album scheduled for release March 20, the same day the movie begins streaming.
