Peter Gabriel drops his new single “Love Can Heal”

Peter Gabriel has released Love Can Heal, the ninth track from his album i/o. Gabriel says of the song is “a dreamy, experiential piece with some abstract imagery…a carpet of sound, a tapestry where things are woven together, but not necessarily supposed to stick out, but just form part of a whole”.

The first version of Love Can Heal, written and produced by Gabriel, is the Bright-Side Mix, by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent.  Other versions include one from Tchad Blake (Dark-Side Mix) and Hans-Martin Buff’s Atmos mix (In-Side Mix), which will be released in mid-September.

Gabriel originally debuted Love Can Heal live during Sting’s Rock, Paper, Scissors tour across North America in 2016. Said Gabriel: “Love Can Heal was written around 2016 and I did start playing it midway through the tour and dedicated it to Jo Cox, who was the British MP brutally murdered by an extremist and someone that I had met at a leadership conference. I think the song fits right in to the themes of the album in the sense that i/o is about feeling and being connected to everything and in a way, the next evolution of being connected to things is a feeling of love for everything”.

Greta Van Fleet share their music video for ‘The Falling Sky’

Greta Van Fleet have shared the new video for their song “The Falling Sky,” directed by Gus Black along with the band. The song is taken off the band’s critically acclaimed new album Starcatcher, which is out now. To buy or stream Starcatcher, head here.

Director Gus Black shares: “I’d say we pushed even harder on this one to create something visceral and visually stunning. I felt a deeper connection to the band during the process of creating the video and I value that aspect of our collaboration as much as the work itself.”  The band added: “A peer into the wilds of a starlit oblivion, this visual representation of ‘The Falling Sky’ demonstrates the darkness and barbarity in a world filled with such duality. In essence, a reminder of the complexity of the human soul and all it is capable of enduring; a letter of love written to the rising sun.”

Greta Van Fleet is currently on the road with their Starcatcher World Tour in support of the album; the tour includes support from special guest performers Surf Curse, Mt. Joy and more.
