Corey Taylor releases his new single “Talk Sick”

Corey Taylor has shared his new song “Talk Sick,” the third single from his forthcoming sophomore solo album CMF2, set to drop on September 15th.

Taylor said of the song in a press release that he achieved the opening guitar riff by playing it through “a speaker about the size of a coffee cup”. Said Taylor: “It made it sound violent; you feel like you’re being stung by bees who are playing along to the Sex Pistols.”  Taylor added of the song’s lyrics: “There’s an element of spiritual regurgitation, trying to purge yourself of demons that have been clinging to you because of prior relationships, romantic or otherwise. You realize those people bring a certain asshole side out of you that you don’t necessarily want in your life. It’s about trying to lance that boil and get that sickness out of you.”

Taylor will be hitting the road with his solo band for a U.S. tour in support of CMF2, kicking-off next Friday (August 25th) in Denver.

Britney Spears’ husband Sam Asghari files for divorce after 14 months of marriage

Britney Spears husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce on Wednesday after 14 months of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce filing. TMZ was the first to report the news that the couple had split and were currently living separately, with multiple sources noting that the separation stemmed from  “a nuclear argument that involve[d] allegations of cheating.”

Spears, 41, first met the 29-year-old Asghari — a model, actor, and fitness trainer — on the set of her music video for “Slumber Party,” from her album Glory, in 2016. The couple married in June 2022 in a lavish, star-studded wedding held in Los Angeles with approximately 60 guests in attendance, including Drew Barrymore, Madonna, Paris Hilton and Selena Gomez.

Spears and Asghari’s union marked Spears’ third marriage, and Asghari’s first. Spears was previously married to her childhood friend, Jason Allen Alexander, for 55 hours in 2004. Following the annulment, Spears married Kevin Federline that same year. The duo divorced in 2007, and share two children: Sean Preston, 17, and Jayden James, 16

Asghari and Spears were together throughout her efforts to terminate her conservatorship, which came to an end in November 2021, allowing Spears to regain control of her estate and finances. However, rumors began circulating in March that the couple were having marital woes. When addressing photos that showed Asghari and Spears without their wedding bands, Asghari’s rep, Brandon Cohen from BAC Talent, told PEOPLE that Asghari simply took off his ring because he was filming a movie.

Usher releases music video for ‘Boyfriend’ featuring Keke Palmer

Usher has dropped the video for his new song titled “Boyfriend”, which stars actress and singer Keke Palmer.   The collaboration between Usher and Palmer comes shortly after the viral moment when Usher serenaded Keke at his Las Vegas residency, where she was later criticized by her boyfriend Darius Jackson, who is also the father of her child.

Jackson called out Palmer in numerous tweets after she was seen wearing a black, sheer outfit to Usher’s Vegas concert. Jackson’s initial tweet featured Palmer being serenaded by Usher with the caption. “It’s the outfit tho… you a mom.” After receiving backlash, Jackson didn’t back down, later tweeting: “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is. This is my family & my representation. I have standards & morals to what I believe. I rest my case.”

In response to the drama, Palmer released a line of T-shirts she promoted on her Instagram, sharing: “One thing is certain and one thing is true, IM A MOTHA, through and through! ‘IM A MOTHA’ and ‘Stevie to the bulls***’ shirts available NOW! To all my mom’s out there, how did your baby change you?? Mine empowered me! On such another level, my perspective changed because when my baby is good I’m GREAT! Look at that face! Gratitude galore.”

When sharing the ‘Boyfriend’ video on Instagram, Usher referenced the incident with the cheeky caption: ‘Nothing that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas…’Boyfriend’ starring the BIG BOSS herself @keke OUT NOW’

The Killers apologize for bringing Russian fan onstage in country of Georgia

The Killers have publicly apologized for an incident that occurred onstage during a concert in the country of Georgia, the former Soviet state that Russia invaded in 2008. During the show, frontman Brandon Flowers invited a Russian fan onstage, which caused a negative reaction from the audience. After The Killers finished their entire set, the crowd was further angered when Flowers responded onstage by reportedly urging the Georgian crowd to think of each other as “brothers and sisters.”

At the end of the show on Tuesday (Aug. 15) in Batumi, Georgia, the band invited a Russian man in attendance onstage to play drums with them during the song “For Reasons Unknown.” Flowers can be heard telling the crowd in a fan-captured footage of the incident: “We don’t know the etiquette of this land, but this guy’s a Russian …You okay with a Russian coming up here?” which received a mixture of cheers and boos. After more booing followed the song’s conclusion, Flowers reportedly said, “You can’t recognize if someone’s your brother? He’s not your brother? … We all separate on the borders of our countries? … Am I not your brother, being from America? … I don’t want it to turn ugly. And I see you as my brothers and my sisters.”

After the backlash, however, The Killers released a statement explaining they had thought the audience reaction was positive; and also apologized for the “brothers and sisters” remark:  “Good people of Georgia, it was never our intention to offend anyone! We have a longstanding tradition of inviting people to play drums, and it seemed from the stage that the initial response from the crowd indicated that they were okay with tonight’s audience participation member coming onstage with us. We recognize that a comment, meant to suggest that all of The Killers’ audience and fans are ‘brothers and sisters,’ could be misconstrued. We did not mean to upset anyone and we apologize. We stand with you and hope to return soon.”

Morgan Wade recruits ‘RHOBH” star Kyle Richards in the video for ‘Fall in Love with Me’

Country singer Morgan Wade has recruited “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards in the new video for Wade’s song “Fall in Love With Me.”

Wade wrote on Instagram: “The official video for ‘Fall in Love With Me’ is out now. It’s campy and fun — but also important and representative of all kinds of love, even in the country space, in any space. Thank you @davidmcclisterphotography for seeing this through … @kylerichards18 and I trusted the process of making a piece of art that stands boldly beside this music and I’m proud of that. Thanks for the support and love. Love is love is love.”

The video, directed by David McClister, follows Richards trying to win over her new neighbor, Wade. Richards is shown exercising in high heels and writing typewritten love letters to Wade in a ball gown, which the duo said was to “poke fun” at speculation that the women are more than just friends.  Said Wade: “I’ve done several music videos and every time there’s someone in it they always assume we’re dating or something’s going on. If you go on the Internet, you’ll see people are obsessed with us being friends.”

“Fall in Love With Me” is the third single off Wade’s upcoming album “Psychopath,” set to drop Aug. 25. It follows the release of the set’s first single, “Psychopath,” and its follow-up, “80’s Movie.”
