Lana Del Rey Releases New Single “Chemtrails Over the Country Club”

Lana Del Rey is sharing its title track to her upcoming album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club. The new single is the second offering off the upcoming album, following the track “Let Me Love You Like a Woman.”

“Chemtrails Over the Country Club” is produced by Jack Antonoff, and you can check out the video for the single – here. In addition to the new track, Del Rey also shared the album’s artwork and tracklist via social media, which can be viewed on Del Rey’s Instragram page.

Chemtrails Over the Country Club is out on March 19 and can be preordered at the link – here.

‘Umbrella Academy’ unveils new cast members joining the series in Season 3

The Umbrella Academy is giving a glimpse of its ‘Sparrow Academy’ cast for Season 3. Streaming service Netflix announced Monday that Justin Cornwall, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez and Cazzie David have joined the series.

In the Season 2 finale, the stars of The Umbrella Academy returned to the present day to discover that Reginald (Colm Feore) formed the “Sparrow Academy” instead of the Umbrella Academy. The Sparrows consist of Ben (Justin H. Min) and six others. The new characters join the Umbrella Academy’s Luther (Tom Hopper), aka No. 1, Diego (David Castañeda), aka No. 2, Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman), aka No. 3, Klaus (Robert Sheehan), aka No. 4, Five (Aidan Gallagher), aka No. 5, Ben (Min), aka No. 6, and Vanya (Elliot Page), aka No. 7.

The Umbrella Academy showrunner Steve Blackman shared the title page of the Season 3 premiere last fall, revealing the episode title “Meet the Family.”

Take a look at the first trailer For Silence of the Lambs Spinoff ‘Clarice’

Taking place following the events of the classic film The Silence of the Lambs, FBI agent Clarice Starling returns for the upcoming drama series, Clarice.

In the trailer released on Monday, Starling, portrayed by Rebecca Breed, is back with the FBI to hunt down serial murderers and sexual predators one year after she captured Buffalo Bill, as seen in the 1991 film The Silence of the Lamb. Now Starling must deal with the reputation she has made for herself while also navigating the political world of Washington D.C.  The series will also explore Starling’s past.

Clarice is set to premiere on CBS and streaming service CBS All Access on Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. EST.  Take a look at the trailer at the link – here.

David Bowie’s covers of John Lennon and Bob Dylan tracks released in celebration of Bowie’s 74th birthday

In honor of what would have been David Bowie’s 74th birthday, Rhino Records has released two rare covers—as free streams and a limited edition 7″ single—of Bowie covering John Lennon and Bob Dylan.

“Tryin’ To Get To Heaven” is from Dylan’s 1997 album, Time Out Of Mind. Bowie’s take on the track was recorded in 1998 during the production of the LiveandWell.com live album. The second cover is the John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band opener, “Mother,” recorded in 1998.

Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey Make Their Relationship Instagram Official

Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey have finally made their relationship Instagram official as of Sunday, Jan. 10. The 33-year-old actor shared a pair of pics on his social media page.  Minutes later, Lori shared a post featuring two different Polaroids of the twosome. One of the images shows the Black Panther star about to kiss his girlfriend’s cheek.

Jordan did not include a caption for his post, while the model and daughter of Steve Harvey added a heart emoji for hers. This is the first time either Michael or Lori have publicly posted about the romance, but rumors of their relationship have been circulating since last year.  Back in November 2020, Jordan and Harvey were spotted arriving at an Atlanta airport as seen in photos shared by TMZ. And on New Year’s Eve, the couple was spotted stepping off a plane together in Salt Lake City as seen in images shared by The Sun.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon & Kristin Davis to Star in Sex and the City Reboot on HBO Max

On Sunday, Jan. 10, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis all confirmed on social media that a ‘Sex and the City” revival coming back on HBO Max. The new reboot will feature a fresh storyline, and is being given a new name: And Just Like That.

With the exception of Kim Cattrall (who has been vocal about not participating in anything related to SATC) the other leading ladies in the cast will return.  Sarah shared on Instagram, alongside a teaser of what’s to come, “I couldn’t help but wonder… where are they now,” while Cynthia wrote, “You, me, New York…anything is possible,” and Kristin added, “Anything is possible…. Meet you there!” SJP also commented that a release date hasn’t been set just yet. “But stay tuned,” she replied to a fan, “and we will be certain to share all the details!!!”

HBO Max confirmed the news in a statement: “The series will follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s,” a description read. “The ten-episode, half-hour series is scheduled to begin production in New York late spring.” All three leading ladies, as well as Michael Patrick King (who was the creative force behind Sex and the City) will executive produce And Just Like That.

Linkin Park release new version of “One Step Closer” with 100 gecs Reanimation

Linkin Park have released the “One Step Closer (100 gecs Reanimation)” version of their classic hit single as part of their “Hybrid Theory” 20th anniversary celebration. The band had 100 gecs (Dylan Brady and Laura Les) create a visualizer video for “One Step Closer (100 gecs Reanimation).

Said Mike Shinoda about the new version of the song: “Part of the spirit of Reanimation was to take the Hybrid Theory songs that people knew so well, and let innovative artists flip them in ways nobody expected. I think 100 gecs did exactly that.”

Bad Wolves Lead Singer Tommy Vext Parts Ways With Band

Bad Wolves have announced that they have officially parted ways with frontman Tommy Vext. Reports recently surfaced claiming the vocalist has parted ways with with band based on an Instagram Live video, which is no longer available.

Bad Wolves said in a statement via social media: “It is true that Bad Wolves and vocalist Tommy Vext have parted ways. The four of us plan to continue making music and a new album is planned for later this year. Tommy has been a big part of BAD WOLVES and we are grateful for his contributions. There is not much else to report at the moment but to send love and gratitude to the fans who have supported Bad Wolves from day one. We would not be here with out you. All the best, Chris, Doc, Kyle, and John.”

Katie Couric Announced as ‘Jeopardy!’ Guest Host

Katie Couric is temporarily taking over as the host of Jeopardy! Katie will serve as one of the first guest hosts after the final episodes featuring long-time emcee Alex Trebek finish airing this week.

Trebek passed away in November after battling pancreatic cancer. He continued taping episodes after he announced his diagnosis in 2019, filming his final episode only 10 days before his death. Alex shared a message with fans about his future replacement in one of his final interviews.

Jeopardy‘s producers said the show will feature guest-hosts until a permanent replacement has been chosen. Jeopardy champion Ken Jennings will also be hosting episodes of the long-running trivia show.

Selena Gomez Announces “Selena + Chef” Season 2 on HBO Max

Selena Gomez announced her HBO Max show, ‘Selena + Chef’ will return for a second season starting on January 21. The 28-year-old singer/actress launched her cooking show during quarantine last year, which sees her team up virtually with various master chefs, who talk her through the steps of producing gourmet meals at home. 

Selena confirmed the series will return for a second season on Twitter, saying, “Selena + Chef Season 2 will be on @HBOmax January 21!”  Gomez said in a video accompanying the tweet: “Hey guys, happy New Year! I’m excited to announce that ‘Selena + Chef’ season two premieres January 21st on HBO Max. Season two is bringing so much more to the table: amazing chefs who I had a blast filming with, delicious new recipes, and more of me accidentally setting things on fire. I hope you guys watch the premiere on the 21st, and come cook up some great stuff with me. I love you guys, you’re all the best. See you in my kitchen!”

For season two, Selena will continue donating $10,000 to a charity of her guest chef’s choosing at the end of each episode. Selena + Chef will be available to stream starting January 21 on HBO Max.
