Trent Reznor is ready to write some new Nine Inch Nails songs. Reznor told reporters after accepting the Oscar for Best Original Score for the film Soul at Sunday night’s Academy Awards ceremony that “We [Nine Inch Nails] should be on tour but COVID has prevented that. Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood reveals he’s been given the all-clear after second cancer diagnosis

Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood revealed that he was recently diagnosed with a rare cancer, small-cell carcinoma. The 73-year-old Wood said he spent the latest lockdown “fighting” the disease, but has since been given the all-clear by doctors.  This is Wood’s second battle against cancer, following a previous diagnosis of lung cancer in 2017.

Said Wood: “I’ve had cancer two different ways now. I had lung cancer in 2017 and I had small-cell more recently that I fought in the last lockdown.” Wood credited the idea of “higher power” in aiding his recent recovery, saying, “I’m going through a lot of problems now, but throughout my recovery, you have to let it go. And when you hand the outcome over to your higher power, that is a magic thing. All I can do is stay positive in my attitude, be strong and fight it, and the rest is up to higher power.”

2021 Oscars: See the full list of winners

The 93rd Academy Awards was held last night, and due to the coronavirus pandemic the star-studded event took place at both The Union Station and the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles with a limited audience. Some nominees also appeared via satellite from remote locations. Attendees were vaccinated, tested and seated in a socially distanced manner to keep everyone safe. People were allowed to take their masks off when the cameras were rolling, but had to put them on during commercial breaks.

Nomadland was the big winner of the evening, taking home awards in three of the biggest categories for Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actress (Frances McDormand). Filmmaker Chloe Zhao became the first woman of color to win the Best Director Oscar, and is only the second woman ever to win.

Anthony Hopkins won his second Best Actor Oscar for his work in The Father, making the 83-year-old the oldest Oscar winner ever for Best Actor. Yuh-Jung Youn won the Best Supporting Actress title for Minari, and Daniel Kaluuya earned the accolade for Best Supporting Actor for Judas and the Black Messiah, which also picked up the Oscar for Best Original Song for “Fight For You.”

This year’s ABC broadcast did not have a single host; instead, “cast members” like Angela Bassett, Bryan Cranston, Laura Dern, Harrison Ford, Regina King, Rita Moreno, Joaquin Phoenix, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Renee Zellweger and more introduced awards and show segments.

Elon Musk to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ with Miley Cyrus as musical guest on May 8

“Saturday Night Live” announced they will be back on May 8 for its first episode since April 10, and also announced that Tesla CEO Elon Musk will be hosting the show for the first time, alongside musical Miley Cyrus, who will be making her sixth appearance as a musical guest on the show.

The show posted the news on social media, sharing a shot of the lineup on Twitter and Instagram. Musk, 49, tweeted, “Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is.”

The news comes days after Musk’s company SpaceX launched four astronauts toward orbit from the Kennedy Space Center using a recycled rocket and capsule. The astronauts, hailing from the United States, Japan, and France, docked at the International Space Station after the nearly 24-hour ride in the Dragon capsule that SpaceX’s first crew used last May in their first successful docking.

Jana Kramer and husband Mike Caussin to divorce after 6 years of marriage

37-year-old country music singer and actress Jana Kramer has filed for divorce from husband Mike Caussin. Kramer announced the news on social media that her six-year marriage to the former football player was over, posting on Instagram: “As I try to make sense of a reality I never wanted to believe could be possible again, those words have now become a reality. I’ve fought y’all. I’ve loved hard. I’ve forgiven. I’ve put the work in. I’ve given everything I have, and now I have nothing else to give. It’s time.”  She continued, “Please know that I still believe whole heartedly in marriage, love and rebuilding. I just can’t fight any longer. It’s time to heal. Thank you for all the love, heart and support, in many ways you have fought on this journey alongside me, and for that I am grateful. I’ll always encourage you to continue the good fight, but you can’t fight it alone.”

A source told People magazine that the divorce is due to infidelity, which was an ongoing issue in the marriage. The split comes just seven months after the couple released their book The Good Fight: Wanting to Leave, Choosing to Stay, and the Powerful Practice for Loving Faithfully. In the book, Caussin spoke candidly about sex addiction, infidelity, and seeking treatment following a string of affairs.  After numerous cheating scandals, Mike went to rehab to help treat his sex addiction in 2016, and the spouses had been working on their relationship ever since. Jana and Mike share two children together, Jolie Rae, 5, and Jace Joseph, 2.
