Jack White shares video for ‘Archbishop Harold Holmes’ starring John C Reilly

Jack White surprised fans with the release of a music video for his latest single ‘Archbishop Harold Holmes’, starring actor John C Reilly.  The single, taken from White’s most recent album No Name, recently ascended to No. 1 on the Mediabase Alternative Top 40 chart.

Filmed at a church in Los Angeles, the video was directed by Gilbert Trejo and also features Cherry Glazer’s Sami Perez, YSL Beauty model and frontwoman of the Paranoyds Staz Lindes, Misha Lindes of Sadgirl, and Starcrawler’s Arrow de Wilde, among others.

The video features Reilly as the eponymous religious leader delivering an electrifying sermon to his congregation; with White sharing that he gave the actor and Trejo ‘complete creative control’ after Reilly approached him to say he’d love to play Archbishop Harold Holmes in a music video.

Reilly’s appearance in the video comes after he recently launched his own music career under the pseudonym Mister Romantic, releasing his debut album of vaudeville reminiscent songs, inspired by an alter-ego character which attracted him to the film industry in the first place.

No Name marked White’s sixth solo studio effort.  He also has a string of US festival dates lined up for this summer, culminating in the CBGB Fest in New York on September 27th.

Pantera reschedules, postpones tour dates to mourn death of Ozzy Osbourne

Pantera has announced that they are rescheduling two shows, and canceling three others on their summer U.S. tour to mourn the passing of Ozzy Osbourne.

The band played four concerts after Ozzy’s passing on July 22, including their show in Cincinnati where they paid tribute to Osbourne with their cover of Black Sabbath’s “Planet Caravan”; as well as shows on July 23, Pennsylvania on July 25 and Wantagh, New York on July 26.

Pantera had performed earlier this month at the ‘Back to the Beginning’ reunion concert in Birmingham on July 5, the Black Sabbath event that saw Osbourne reunite with guitarist Tony Iommi for the final time. The show marked Ozzy’s last public performance.

Pantera — led by classic members Philip Anselmo and Rex Brown, along with Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante — have been on the road since 2022, following their reunion and the revival of the band’s legacy. Wylde is also a longtime member of Osbourne’s solo band. The band said in their statement (in part): “Ozzy wasn’t just a legend who shaped the very foundation of heavy metal and inspired Pantera from the beginning and he was family. A mentor, a brother, and a constant presence in our lives both on and off the stage .. The bond we shared with him ran far deeper than music. In light of this profound loss, we need time and space to grieve, to be with our families, our crew, and each other as we process and honor the life of someone who meant so much to us. Out of respect and to allow members of our team the time to mourn.”
