Woman booked on suspicion of murder after gunshots are fired outside Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home

Police in Los Angeles have arrested a woman accused of firing multiple gunshots at the home of singer Rihanna on Sunday afternoon.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the suspect—identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz—was taken into custody and booked on suspicion of attempted murder. Bail has been set at $10.225 million.

Officers responded around 1:15 p.m. to reports of gunfire at the singer’s residence in the Beverly Crest neighborhood near Beverly Hills. Investigators believe Ortiz stopped her vehicle outside the property and fired several rounds—reportedly between five and seven shots—from what police described as an AR-style rifle. Some of the bullets struck the home’s front gate, a wall, and a vehicle parked outside, though none penetrated the interior of the house. Authorities recovered seven “assault rifle casings” at the scene. No injuries were reported.

Police tracked the suspect’s white Tesla with the help of a helicopter. The vehicle was followed roughly eight miles away to the Sherman Oaks Galleria, where officers pulled Ortiz over and arrested her in a parking garage. LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias said, “When they pulled her over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings.”

According to law-enforcement sources Rihanna—whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty—was inside the house along with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, and their children at the time of the incident.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been determined, and the investigation remains ongoing.

‘Ted Lasso’ to return for Season 4 this summer on Apple TV+

Apple TV+ has confirmed that Ted Lasso will return for its fourth season this summer, unveiling the news with a batch of first-look images shared on Instagram. Apple TV+ wrote in its announcement: “You better believe it. Ted Lasso returns this summer.”

The hit series continues to follow Ted’s unlikely journey from American football coach to English soccer manager—this time with a new team, a fresh challenge, and the same trademark optimism that made the show a global favorite. “In season four, Ted returns to Richmond, taking on his biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team,” the official description reads. “Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would.”

Season 4 follows the events of the Season 3 finale, which saw Ted leave AFC Richmond and return to Kansas to be closer to his son. Deadline revealed last year that the new season picks up in Kansas before shifting back to London, with Ted’s son Henry—now played by Grant Feely—joining him for part of the journey. Production began last July in Kansas City, the hometown of both Jason Sudeikis and his character, and is now continuing overseas.

Among the newly released images is a shot of Sudeikis facing off with Hannah Waddingham on a runway, a small plane visible behind them. Another shows Ted sharing a quiet moment with Henry in a pub as Annette Badland approaches. Additional photos feature Sudeikis alongside Tanya Reynolds, who joins the cast this season.

Returning cast members include Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, and others, with new additions such as Jude Mack, Faye Marsey, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern, and Feely rounding out the ensemble.

Foo Fighters share title track from new album ‘Your Favorite Toy’

Foo Fighters have revealed that their 12th studio album, Your Favorite Toy, will arrive April 24 via Roswell Records in partnership with RCA Records. The project marks the band’s first full-length release since 2023’s But Here We Are, and introduces drummer Ilan Rubin as a full-time member following his addition to the lineup last year (Foo Fighters’ current lineup includes Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Smear, Rami Jaffee, and Rubin).

The band has are previewing the album with its title track, “Your Favorite Toy,” a sharp-edged, high-voltage anthem that signals a new creative chapter. Though unmistakably Foo Fighters, the track carves out fresh sonic territory within their catalog.  Grohl said: “‘Your Favorite Toy’ really was the key that unlocked the tone and energetic direction of the new album. We stumbled upon it after experimenting with different sounds and dynamics for over a year, and the day it took shape I knew that we had to follow its lead. It was the fuse to the powder keg of songs we wound up recording for this record. It feels new.”

The album was co-produced by the band alongside Oliver Roman, who also handled engineering duties. Mixing was completed by Mark “Spike” Stent. In addition to the title track, the record includes last year’s blistering “Asking for a Friend” and “Today’s Song,” which first appeared as a standalone single.

The album’s release will also set the stage for the band’s expansive Take Cover World Tour, beginning June 10 at Unity Arena in Oslo – following major U.S. festival appearances at Welcome to Rockville and BottleRock. Additional North American and European stadium dates are scheduled throughout the summer, with select U.S. shows featuring Queens of the Stone Age.

U2 shares ‘Yours Eternally’ short documentary film from ‘Days of Ash’ EP

U2 has released the short documentary film ‘Yours Eternally,’ a track featured on their recently-released EP, Days of Ash, featuring Ed Sheeran & Ukrainian singer Taras Topolia.

The four-and-a-half minute documentary film is directed by Ukrainian cinematographer and filmmaker Ilya Mikhaylus and produced by Pyotr Verzilov, with the film’s release marking the fourth anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Shot in December 2025 the short film is part of a full-scale documentary set to be released at the end of 2026.  Documentary director Mikhaylus says, “For four years, Ukraine has been resisting Russia’s full-scale invasion, and the soldiers of the Khartiya Corps are among the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians defending their homeland. In this short film, and in the upcoming full-length documentary, we attempt to show the beating human heart of those incredible men and women, the struggles and sacrifices they are making every day for the most sacred thing on this planet – freedom.”

As previously noted, U2 resurfaced with the surprise six-track EP, Days of Ash, which was released on Feb. 18 to coincide with Ash Wednesday. The project—comprised of five new songs and a poem by Yehuda Amichai—was driven by what Bono described as urgency: “These EP tracks couldn’t wait; these songs were impatient to be out in the world.”

The band had reunited over the past year to create the EP, which tackles flashpoints dominating global headlines, from ICE raids in the U.S. and the Iranian protests to the war in Ukraine and Israeli settlements in the West Bank. Several songs focus on individuals whose lives were tragically cut short, including Minneapolis mother Renée Good, Iranian teenager Sarina Esmailzadeh, and Palestinian father Awdah Hathaleen, a consultant on the Oscar-winning documentary No Other Land. (you can watch the lyric videos for the six Days of Ash tracks – HERE.)

‘Days of Ash’ marks U2’s first new music since 2023’s Atomic City, released during their groundbreaking residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Bono emphasized, however, that the tone of Days of Ash differs sharply from the band’s forthcoming studio album, expected in late 2026:  “Songs of celebration will follow. For all the awfulness we see normalized daily on our small screens, there’s nothing normal about these mad and maddening times and we need to stand up to them before we can go back to having faith in the future. And each other.”

‘The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ documentary to premiere on Netflix March 20th

A new documentary tracing the origins of the Red Hot Chili Peppers — and the lasting impact of founding guitarist Hillel Slovak — is headed to Netflix this spring. Before securing its streaming home, the documentary was screened at the Cannes Film Festival, followed by private showings in New York and Los Angeles.

The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, directed by Ben Feldman, will premiere March 20. The film revisits the band’s scrappy beginnings in the 1980s Los Angeles music scene, spotlighting the childhood bond between bassist Flea and singer Anthony Kiedis — a friendship that helped spark one of rock’s most enduring careers.

Drawing on interviews with founding members and those close to Slovak, the documentary explores how his creative vision shaped the group’s signature sound before his death from a drug overdose in 1988 at age 26. The film promises a rare, personal look at the relationships that defined the band’s identity long before global fame followed.

Feldman said in a statement: “It’s a true honor to partner with Netflix to bring The Rise of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to a global audience. At its heart, this is a deeply relatable story — about the friendships that shape our identities and the lasting power of the bonds forged in adolescence. What’s less relatable, of course, is that here those friends went on to create one of the greatest rock bands in history. I’m profoundly grateful to the band and to Hillel’s family for their trust and generosity, and to Netflix for helping bring this story to the world stage.Red Hot Chili Peppers”

The band, inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012, most recently released Unlimited Love and Return of the Dream Canteen in 2022. Meanwhile, Flea is set to unveil his jazz-leaning solo debut, Honora, on March 27.

Glaser has recently gained attention after her memorable performance in the Tom Brady roast special on Netflix, and as host of the Golden Globes. She is also developing a new comedy project at Universal where she would star, with Judd Apatow producing. Britney Spears arrested in California on suspicion of DUI

Britney Spears was taken into custody in Southern California on Wednesday night on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to local law enforcement. TMZ was first to report the news of Spears’ arrest.

The 44-year-old singer was arrested around 9:30 p.m. by the California Highway Patrol in Ventura County. Records show she was released early Thursday morning after spending the night in custody, and her vehicle was towed from the scene. Authorities have not publicly released additional details about the traffic stop, though law enforcement sources say the arrest involved a suspected DUI.  Spears is scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior Court on May 4, 2026.

In a statement following the incident, a representative for Spears said, “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.” The spokesperson added, “Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”

The representative also noted that the singer’s sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James — whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline — will be spending time with her as family members work on a plan focused on her well-being. “Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.”

The arrest comes during a period of intense public attention surrounding Spears’ personal life. She has remained closely watched since a judge ended her 13-year conservatorship in 2021, which had granted control of her finances and personal decisions to her father, Jamie Spears. In recent years, she has frequently shared videos and personal reflections on social media, often filmed at her home in Thousand Oaks. Her Instagram account appeared to have been deactivated shortly after the news of the arrest surfaced.

One of the most successful pop artists of the past few decades, Spears is widely known as the “Princess of Pop,” with chart-topping hits including “…Baby One More Time,” “Oops!… I Did It Again!,” “Womanizer,” and “I’m a Slave 4 U.” She also won a Grammy Award in 2004 for Best Dance Recording for her hit “Toxic.” Recently, she reportedly sold the rights to her music catalog to the publishing company Primary Wave for an estimated $200 million.
