After splitting with guitarist Jen Majura last week, Evanescence have revealed their new touring lineup, featuring Tim McCord on guitar and Emma Anzai of Sick Puppies on bass.

McCord had occupied the role of bassist from 2006 through the present, and will now switch over to guitar, which the band said in a statement is his “original instrument.” The group also revealed that Anzai has taken up the bass spot vacated by McCord.  Evanescence said of this latest addition: “We’ve been friends and fans for years, and the time has finally come to join forces.” 

Regarding their dismissal of Majura, Evanescence said that they will “always love her and support her,” expressing excitement over what she will end up doing next. Majura issued a statement of her own, clarifying there are “no hard feelings” and that the decision to part ways with the band was not hers.

Evanescence will embark on a co-headlining U.S. tour with Korn starting in mid-August. Just a few weeks after that run concludes in mid-September, Evanescence will hit the road again for a series of U.S. stops with Halestorm through late December.

Asking Alexandria have released the music video for the song “Faded Out” featuring Sharon den Adel of Within Temptation and directed by Michael Lombardi. Faded Out is set to appear on the soundtrack for “The Retaliators”.

Similar to The Retaliators, the visual ‘follows the journey of a man who’s suffered a tremendous loss, as he awakens to a colorless existence and descends into a bloody subhuman universe.’

Aerosmith is canceling the band’s upcoming run of shows in Las Vegas, due to the announcement that frontman Steven Tyler has relapsed and entered rehab. The group shared the news via social media revealing that recovering from a recent surgery caused Tyler, 74, to relapse. The group said that Tyler he has since entered a rehab facility:  “As many of you know, our beloved brother Steven has worked on his sobriety for many years. After foot surgery to prepare for the stage and the necessity of pain management during the process, he has recently relapsed and voluntarily entered a treatment program to concentrate on his health and recovery.”

The band added:  “We are truly sorry to inform our fans and friends that we must cancel our first set of Las Vegas Residency dates this June and July while he focuses on his well-being. We will continue our 2022 dates starting in September, and we’ll let you know any further updates as soon as we can. We are devastated that we have inconvenienced so many of you, especially our most loyal fans who often travel great distances to experience our shows.”

Tickets for the June and July Las Vegas residency dates will be refunded at the point of purchase via Ticketmaster.

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band announced that they will be launching their first tour together since the River Tour in 2016.  The 72-year-old Springsteen and his longtime band will kick off the tour in early February with a string of U.S. arena shows, which have yet to be announced. The European stadium tour kicks off April 28, 2023, in Barcelona, Spain with stops including Dublin, Paris, Ferrara, Rome, Amsterdam, Landgraaf, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Gothenburg, Oslo, Copenhagen, Hamburg, Vienna, Munich and Monza. Additional cities and shows in the U.K. and Belgium will be announced at a later date, and a second North American leg of the tour will follow in August.

Springsteen said in a press statement:  “After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year. And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year — and beyond.”

Springsteen and the E Street Band last performed together on Saturday Night Live in December 2020, following the release of their album Letter to You. For more tour information, head to brucespringsteen.net.

Metal legends Metallica have announced a new round of colored vinyl pressings, set to drop on June 17th. They’ll be exclusive to Walmart and will be made available as a five-album bundle, as well as individually. Among those set for new pressings are “Garage Inc.“, “Load“, “ReLoad“, “St. Anger” and “Death Magnetic“. Pre-orders can be found here.

Gorillaz have announced details of a North American tour in September and October, which will be the group’s first US and Canadian live dates since 2018. Gorillaz ongoing world tour is currently in South America,  and will perform throughout Europe this summer before making their way to the U.S.

The band will perform across 21 arena shows in the US and Canada, kicking off in Vancouver on September 11, and visiting such cities as Seattle, Salt Lake City, LA, Austin, Chicago and Boston before wrapping up in Miami on October 23.  EARTHGANG will support Gorillaz on all dates except Orlando and Miami, where Jungle will be special guests.
