Millie Bobby Brown and husband Jake Bongiovi welcome baby girl via adoption

Millie Bobby Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi announced on social media they have welcomed their first baby together via adoption.

Brown 21, and Bongiovi, 23, wrote in a joint Instagram post on Thursday: “This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi”

The couple began dating in 2021, and were married in May 2024. A larger celebration followed in Tuscany, Italy in Sept. 2024, officiated by Brown’s “Stranger Things” co-star Matthew Modine.

Brown spoke earlier this year about wanting to start a family with her husband, sharing during an appearance on the “SmartLess” podcast in March: “Jake knows how important it is to me. Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it’s so important to start a family for me, personally. It’s a huge thing. Jake was like, ‘We cannot do that until we get married,’ so that was his thing, and my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So it is definitely in our future. But, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”

Brown added that her parents had their first child when they were 21 and 19, respectively, and she’s always wanted to follow suit: “It’s been my thing since before I met Jake. Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.”

‘Wednesday’ renewed for Season 3 at Netflix

Netflix has ordered a third season of the supernatural comedy series ‘Wednesday’ starring Jenna Ortega in the titlular role. Season 1 was the most-watched original series ever on the streamer, with more than 250 million views.

Netflix posted on X: “he would never leave you hanging. Wednesday has been officially renewed for Season 3.

The news comes after ‘Wednesday’ Season 2, Part 1 launched on Netflix on August 6 (Season 2, Part 2 will follow Sept. 3). Season 2 features returning cast members Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, as well as newcomers Billie Piper, Steve Buscemi, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter and Noah Taylor.

In addition, plans are also in the works for a spin-off series, created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and executive producer by Tim Burton. Creators/showrunners Gough and Millar said in a statement: “It’s been a dark delight to watch Wednesday cast her spell over audiences across the globe — one deadpan quip at a time. We’re beyond thrilled she’ll be returning to stalk the halls of Nevermore in Season 3. This time, she’ll unearth more of the school’s sinister secrets — and descend even deeper into the Addams family crypt. Or, as Wednesday would say: ‘Nothing brings a family together like a good exhumation.’”

Said Gough: “Television has — and always will be — a team sport. Miles and I have been doing this long enough to know that shows like this don’t come along every day. It’s such an alchemy of writing, directing, acting, crew, streamer, studio, and fans. We remain grateful and excited to continue this journey and tell these stories with all of our partners. The goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can.”

The song debuted alongside a a new cinematic music video starring Academy Award-nominated actress Florence Pugh. Directed by Charlie Sarsfield and produced by Untold Studios, the video find Pugh as a nurse helping patients through their struggles, pain, and triumphs.

Yungblud explains: “The song was written initially about my grandmother going through serious injury and trauma, leading her to become a different person to who she was before. It’s about the feeling of deterioration and ugliness; shutting out the world and the people we love out of the fear of becoming a burden or an embarrassment. We all want someone or something to comfort us no matter how we are right now or who we become in the future. But it’s f*cking scary.”

Jon Bernthal joins Tom Holland as The Punisher in ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

Per the “The Hollywood Reporter,” Jon Bernthal is set to return as his Marvel TV character, Frank Castle — a.k.a. The Punisher — in “Spider‑Man: Brand New Day,” the next installment in the Sony/Marvel Spider‑Man franchise.

Bernthal previously portrayed Frank Castle in Netflix’s “Daredevil and The Punisher,” later reprising the role in “Daredevil: Born Again” on Disney+.

Back in March, Sony Pictures announced via Instagram that the film, directed by Shang‑Chi filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton, is scheduled to begin production in England this summer and is set for release on July 31, 2026. Tom Holland will return as Peter Parker, with Zendaya and Jacob Batalon expected to reprise their roles as MJ and Ned. “Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink and “The Bear” actress Liza Colón-Zayas are also joining the cast in undisclosed roles.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day follows 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, and 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home — the ending of which erased Peter Parker from the memory of everyone who knew he was Spider-Man, including all his friends and loved ones. The final scenes featured Peter returning to his comic book roots as a street-level hero, working on his own without any fancy technology or high-powered allies.

Prime Video has shared the trailer for The Runarounds, a coming-of-age music drama series from the creators of the hit series, Outer Banks.

An official synopsis reads“The Runarounds follows a group of recent high school graduates from Wilmington, North Carolina, who come together the summer after graduation to form a rock band, united by their shared love of music and near-impossible dream of stardom. As they pursue the big leagues, they encounter big trouble along the way.”

The Runarounds stars William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher came together for the project after Pate recruited Outer Banks stars Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline to put out a call for young musicians on social media to star in a new series. Outer Banks creators Josh Pate, Jonas Pate and Shannon Burke are also are among The Runarounds‘ executive producers.  Josh Pate recently told Entertainment Weekly of the process that led to the selection of the musicians/actors who ultimately formed the Runarounds: “We got 5,000 bands sent to us in a week. I was thinking that these kids are going to freak out if they’ve never had cameras in their face before.”

Pate added that the pilot for The Runarounds was originally shot in 2022, but since then the musicians have formed a group in real life. “They’ve written tons of songs. They just played their first festival in Charlotte. They’re out of high school now and they’re totally legit musically. It’s awesome.”

In addition, the official soundtrack to the series will be released coinciding with the series’ debut on September 1st (to presave, head HERE).  The band’s first two singles — “Funny How The Universe Works” (featured in the series trailer) and “Senior Year” (the first song written and recorded by the real-life band) — are also available now on streaming services.
