Take a look at the trailer for ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

The first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day has arrived, offering a fresh look at Tom Holland’s return as the iconic web-slinger ahead of the film’s July 31 theatrical debut.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the fourth standalone ‘Spider-Man’ film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe picks up four years after Spider-Man: No Way Home. Peter Parker is now living in total anonymity after choosing to erase himself from everyone’s memory — including MJ and his best friend Ned — in order to save the multiverse.

The story follows Peter as he navigates adulthood completely alone, dedicating himself fully to protecting New York City. But as crime escalates and new dangers emerge, he begins experiencing unsettling physical changes tied to his powers. At the same time, a growing pattern of threats leads him toward one of the most formidable enemies he’s ever faced. As the trailer puts it, “Sometimes Spider-Man has to do the hard thing, even if it breaks Peter Parker’s heart.”

Still grieving the loss of Aunt May and cut off from his past life, Peter tries to rebuild while embracing his role as a full-time hero. Along the way, he joins forces with Bruce Banner and Frank Castle, also known as the Hulk and the Punisher, while also encountering the return of Mac Gargan, aka Scorpion.

Holland is joined once again by Zendaya as MJ, though her role is expected to be smaller this time around. Returning cast members include Jacob Batalon, while newcomers such as Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Marvin Jones II — who plays crime boss Tombstone — expand the ensemble.

The film also marks Holland’s seventh appearance as Spider-Man in the MCU and is currently slated as his final solo outing under his existing contract. It is expected to connect to the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday, further setting the stage for Marvel’s next phase.

Story details for the upcoming installment have not yet been revealed, though it’s expected to continue the tense saga of survivors navigating a world hunted by sound-sensitive alien creatures. Leading the cast again are Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy, alongside returning stars Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe. New additions to the ensemble include Jack O’Connell, Jason Clarke, and Katy O’Brian.

Krasinski shared the news on social media, writing, “So proud to be a part of this #AQuietPlace family… old and new! Here we go! Part III – July 30th, 2027.” He will once again write, direct, and produce the film. Production is being handled by his company Sunday Night Productions, alongside Platinum Dunes.

‘The Mummy 4’ sets May 2028 release date with Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz to return

Oscar winners Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz are officially stepping back into the world of The Mummy, with a new installment from Universal Pictures set to hit theaters on May 19, 2028.

The long-anticipated sequel will be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett—the filmmaking duo known as Radio Silence—working from a script by David Coggeshall. While story details are being kept tightly under wraps, the film is expected to continue the franchise’s blend of action, adventure, and supernatural thrills.

Fraser and Weisz will reprise their roles as Rick and Evelyn O’Connell, the adventurous couple at the heart of the original films. The pair first starred together in the 1999 reboot of The Mummy, which followed a treasure hunter who accidentally unleashes a powerful cursed priest. Its success led to the hit sequel The Mummy Returns, solidifying the franchise as a global box office force. Fraser later returned for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, though Weisz did not appear in that chapter—making her comeback especially notable for longtime fans.

The series, which has generated roughly $1.8 billion worldwide, has remained a key property for Universal since its revival in 1999. Veteran producer Sean Daniel is once again involved, having overseen every major entry in the franchise.

Behind the scenes, enthusiasm for the project is already high. Reflecting on his journey, Coggeshall wrote on X, “If you asked newbie writer me in 1999 what my dream job would be, I would’ve said THE MUMMY. It took a quarter century, but that dream came true,” alongside a media report about the upcoming project. Producer James Vanderbilt echoed the excitement, praising the script and creative team while highlighting the return of the Oscar-winning leads.

Goo Goo Dolls team with Steve Aoki to reimagine “Iris” into a new dance track

A new collaboration between the Goo Goo Dolls and electronic music producer Steve Aoki is giving the band’s legendary hit “Iris” a fresh spin for a new generation of listeners. The updated version transforms the emotional rock ballad into a high-energy dance track built for massive festival crowds, blending the song’s familiar intensity with Aoki’s electronic production style.

The partnership began unexpectedly at the 2025 Stagecoach festival, when Aoki invited Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik onstage to perform the song together. The crowd’s reaction was immediate and overwhelming, turning the moment into one of the standout highlights of the weekend. Inspired by the response, Aoki later brought the track into the studio to create a version designed specifically for live festival sets while still honoring the spirit of the original.

Rzeznik said in a statement: “Joining Steve onstage during his Stagecoach set was an unforgettable moment. The energy from the crowd was remarkable and the mixture of our two genres was amazing to witness live. We’re thrilled to release this new version of ‘Iris’ with Steve and share that magic moment with our fans around the world.”

Aoki said the experience convinced him the song could take on a new life in a different musical setting: “Performing ‘Iris’ live with Goo Goo Dolls at Stagecoach was one of those rare, unforgettable moments. You could feel the connection everyone had to the song, but also this incredible rush as we brought it into a completely different environment. That feeling stayed with me, and I knew we had to take it into the studio and build a version designed for festival stages, while preserving the heart of the original.”

Originally released in 1998 for the film City of Angels starring Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan, “Iris” has remained one of the most recognizable rock songs of its era. Nearly three decades later, it continues to reach new audiences. The track has accumulated more than 5.5 billion streams worldwide, including over 1 billion streams in 2025 alone. Its renewed popularity has also been fueled by viral moments on TikTok and strong chart performance on Spotify’s U.S. and Global Daily rankings.

Nine Inch Nails reimagine their sound with ‘Nine Inch Noize’ collaboration

Nine Inch Nails are set to drop ‘Nine Inch Noize’ on Friday, April 17 via Interscope Records, unveiling a bold, electronic-leaning rework of their catalog created alongside producer Boys Noize.

The 12-track project reshapes familiar material into a cohesive live-inspired experience, mirroring the group’s Coachella setlist. Among the songs revisited are “Closer,” “Came Back Haunted,” “Copy of A,” “Heresy,” “She’s Gone Away,” and “Vessel,” along with “As Alive as You Need Me to Be” from the Tron: Ares soundtrack. The album also branches out with a fresh take on “Parasite” by How to Destroy Angels and a cover of Soft Cell’s “Memorabilia.”

The collaboration brings together Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross with Boys Noize, while Mariqueen Maandig joins the lineup for live performances.  Frontman Trent Reznor shares:  “The creative fulfillment of working on the Challengers and Tron scores with Boys Noize led me to think that including him in the Peel It Back Tour could be an interesting way to express NIN in more purely electronic terms live – a concept I’ve wanted to explore for some time. The result was so much fun for us we felt it was worth expanding and formalizing in some way. On a whim, I mentioned it would be cool to play a whole set as Nine Inch Noize in the Sahara tent at Coachella. Careful what you wish for…the next thing I knew we were designing a whole new show to present in the way it deserved. There’s no surprise tour announcement – this Saturday is it. I’m taking Sunday off and excited to be working on new Nine Inch Nails music Monday – I’ll see you when I come up for air. We recorded this album all over the place – some of it’s live, some in studios, hotels, planes, etc. We had a lot of fun revisiting these songs and hope you enjoy. Listen LOUD.”

Following their Coachella performance, Reznor indicated his focus will shift back to creating new Nine Inch Nails material, signaling that ‘Nine Inch Noize’ is both a creative detour and a bridge to what comes next.

‘American Horror Story’ Season 13 first-look photo reveals Sarah Paulson as Cordelia

FX’s American Horror Story is gearing up for a major comeback season, and one of its most beloved characters is officially returning. Ryan Murphy has confirmed that Sarah Paulson will once again play Cordelia Goode, the powerful witch introduced in “American Horror Story: Coven.”

Alongside a photo of Paulson as Cordelia, Murphy wrote on Instagram: “AHS 13. The Return of Sarah Paulson as Cordelia Goode. The Supreme Rises. And yes we have rebuilt the entire Robichaux Academy.”

Cordelia—originally introduced as Cordelia Foxx—served as headmistress of Miss Robichaux’s Academy before rising to become the Supreme. The character previously appeared in both the Coven and Apocalypse seasons, and her return strongly hints that the new season may revisit that storyline. The rebuilt academy further fuels speculation that Season 13 could act as a continuation or tribute to the fan-favorite witch-centric arc.

Season 13 is set to premiere on FX in September 2026, finally confirming long-circulating rumors about its release window. Production is already underway, with early images revealing Paulson in a candlelit setting and Jessica Lange—another franchise staple—also back on set.

The upcoming installment is also shaping up to be a reunion of some of the show’s most recognizable faces. The ensemble includes Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman. Ariana Grande is also joining the cast, reuniting with Murphy after ‘Scream Queens,’ alongside former co-stars Roberts and Lourd. Cult filmmaker John Waters is another notable addition. With so many returning actors tied to earlier storylines, the season may function as a “greatest hits” chapter—an idea hinted at by Peters, who said, “We’re all getting back together to do this greatest-hits season.”

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame unveils 2026 inductees: Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Wu-Tang Clan, Oasis, and more

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has unveiled its 2026 inductees, with the announcement made live during American Idol by Ryan Seacrest and Lionel Richie. This year’s selections highlight a wide-ranging mix of influential artists across genres, along with notable figures honored for their broader impact on music.

Leading the Performer Category are Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division/New Order, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan. Collins earns a second induction, having previously been recognized as part of Genesis. Notably, Collins, Vandross, and Wu-Tang Clan were all first-time nominees, while several others had been considered in prior years before finally securing a spot.

Additional honors extend beyond performers. Celia Cruz, Fela Kuti, Queen Latifah, MC Lyte, and Gram Parsons will receive the Early Influence Award. The Musical Excellence Award goes to Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin, while legendary television host Ed Sullivan is being recognized with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

“Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music’s highest honor. We look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year’s ceremony – it’s going to be an unforgettable night,” said chairman John Sykes.

To qualify for induction, artists must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to nomination. While several acts broke through this year, others—including New Edition, P!nk, INXS, The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, Shakira, Lauryn Hill, Melissa Etheridge, and Mariah Carey—did not make the final cut. Carey, in particular, remains among a small group of artists with multiple nominations but no induction.

The ceremony is scheduled for November 14, 2026, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, and will later air in December on ABC and Disney+ (with the event set to return to Cleveland in 2027.) Ticket details are expected to be announced at a later date.
